AHA: Autobid only.
CCHA: Whoever wins isn't a threat to us/autobid, essentially, only.
ECAC: 62.5% chance for autobid to take a spot.
HEA: Autobid steals a spot.
NCHC: Top 16.
B10: 50/50 on autobid taking a spot.

Lose tomorrow and we're in 12th. 3 autobid spots are guaranteed, so 13 is the cutoff. We would need either Michigan to win or the ECAC to go to Dartmouth, I think.

And again, looking at it from the optimistic side...

If we win out, are we assured a two-seed? I can't use the NPI tool to check, but winning out would mean either we beat Dartmouth in the finals or Dartmouth lost to Clarkson in the semis. Wondering if that's enough to get us to at least 8th.
I think so, yeah. Dart drops to 11th if they lose to Clarkson. If we win out and they lose to us instead, I don't see how they can sit above us.

Q went 0 for 12, -2 on the powerplay vs Clarkson.

When they finally play an NCAA game on March 26 or 27, it will have been almost exactly 4 weeks since they won a hockey game (Feb 28 at Harvard).  In the 6 weeks leading up to that NCAA game, they finished 2-4, with a -6 goal differential,
Simply lovely. 💜

Is Marcellus deadass saying it's a good thing the Bobcats fight in practice?

He is a whiner who throws his team under the bus.

So, Q had a 5-game streak of LP appearances from 2013-17 and another from 2021-2025.  Their results from those 10 appearances?  1 title from the first, 0 from the second.  The same number of titles as Princeton won over the same period.  Princeton appeared once.

Threw his goalie under the bus for one.

As long as QU doesn't win next year, Princeton will pull ahead, as the next installment of the decennial cycle is nigh.

As per the matrix, we can end up anywhere between 6 and 12. Dart can end between 6 and 11, Q between 7 and 10. 11 and up is safe because of NCHC going to a top 16 team.

As per the matrix we have a 93% chance to get in, it looks like. It's got us at a 34% chance to end up in 12th, presumably part of which is a loss tomorrow/today.

Notably - there's a hard drop after 12. Seems like no matter what, there's too much of a gap between 12 and 13 to cover. Which is very good for us, as we only need one more team within the top 16 to win their conference to be sure we're going to the NCAAs.

Also, OSU at a 33% chance to get in - which is presumably the probability they win vs Michigan.

The matrix is still running, to be fair. But. Good news for us, but doesn't mean we can let off the gas.

Oh, and winning Placid looks like it guarantees us a 2 seed?

CU2007

It's a shame Qpac pulled out that one national championship. Otherwise their postseason performance under Dbag Rand would be a complete disaster.

Rand from CHN:

It's ridiculous, it really is. I don't wanna use the term embarrassing, ridiculous is the better word," QU coach Rand Pecknold said to the Quinnipiac Chronicle.

"We basically had the game won," Pecknold said. "We are a really good defensive hockey team, or have been in the past. We just made some immature decisions, lacked details and lacked buy-in."

As for what to do going forward:

"I have no clue," Pecknold said to The Chronicle. "I'll have a clue eventually. Right now it's just trying to process the craziest loss, one of the worst losses we've ever had. We'll deal with that later. I assumed we were playing tomorrow."
