Holy shit
Apparently losing to Cornell four times in one season was too much to bear.

It all reads like it was his decision.

QuoteUnder Donato, the Crimson was known for having tremendous special teams, including an extremely efficient power play throughout its run of dominance.

"run of dominance." Laying it on thick.

"Like" it was his decision. I'm sure they told him, like, we're gonna can your ass or you can choose to leave now.

Hedge fund manager Xavier Majic (RPI '94 and Harvard Business School '06) is apparently becoming a co-owner of the Owen Sound Attack (OHL). https://x.com/GregCowanST/status/2052769927073873988 and https://www.linkedin.com/in/xavier-majic-7849803/

It will be interesting to see whether we see individual CHL teams become feeders to particular NCAA programs like prep schools and junior A programs have. Having an owner steering kids can't hurt RPI.

That certainly is (was) the case with Tier-II players. FWIW, RPI has an "in" with Newfoundland (QMJHL) since the GM & Coach, Gordie Dwyer, is the father of RPI recruit Ryan Dwyer.

Per USCHO, the return games at Omaha are on New Year's weekend. Nothing I've seen on other OOC games

The Mavs' website only has NCHC games so far.

Quote from: stereax on May 26, 2026, 09:31:26 AMInteresting article about college hockey budgets.
It would, of course, be more interesting if they had data on private schools including all 12 ECAC schools, but they didn't have to respond and thus didn't. OTOH, the article stated "We are currently missing FY25 MFRS data from Alabama State, ETSU, Ferris State, Troy, UNC-Asheville, and Tennessee State." Only Ferris has a team, and Tennessee State has been saying that they are working on it for over a year. The rest?

ACHA teams, I think.

They certainly could be, but there are a lot of other state schools with ACHA teams, or should I say clubs?

FYI - this is mainly useless data. Without a breakdown, there's no way of knowing what this even means. For example, most of Arizona State's budget is really paying down arena debt, and paying off the NCHC entry fee. It has nothing to do with hockey expenses. Meanwhile, some schools count scholarships in their ledger, and others do not. And so on.
