"Cornell Tech?"  Seriously?  Makes me retch from every fiber of my Clarkson-hating soul...  ::barf::

Better than Ithaca A&M. Maybe Silicon Island?

To be fair, quoting "Cornell Tech" may be a shortened form of "Cornell-Technion," making sure to give mention to Cornell's partner in this entity. (Speculation on my part.) Pretty much everywhere, I've seen the campus simply named "NYC Tech" or "Cornell NYC Tech."

Just found the following recent stories on the progress, in a quick media search:

Well we've expanded our repertoire into cymbals, which can be more cardio-centric.

It's clearly Schafer's fault this guy wasn't recruited.

No shrinking violets themselves, the Pep Band alums who went out for the Cornell-Stanford football game in '91 still tell quite entertaining stories of their time spent with the LSJUMB and its "appetites."

Scatter bands generally suck, but the LSJUMB gets a pass.

It's interesting that they are going with open offices in the context of mixing academia with multiple commercial ventures.  In the government lab where I work we are trying to build a bridge to industry by making our unique technical facilities available.  One thing that every company our people talk to inist on is absolute security of their offices to protect intellectual property.  The bosses (at least) may like open offices in their own buildings, but they absolutely refuse to mingle with anyone else.

And now a logo "drawn at a 29 degree angle as an homage to New York City's wonky grid."  How esoteric.

How exactly is NYC's grid wonky?

As everyone knows, the Avenues run N/S and the streets run E/W. Consider, for example, the corner of West 4th St. and West 10th St.

Never noticed that before.  But still, that's the village, which predates the grid.  The part os the city that was actually planned is wonderfully regular.  Broadway below 79th is the only real exception (again, predating the planned grid).
