Thanks. I wonder if someone will give Bâby a brief chance given his size, decent +/- and overall attitude towards playing solid team defense. I guess the problem is that even most of the 4th/checking line players seem to show a lot more offensively.by RatushnyFan - Hockey

It is an honor and a privilege to attend classes at Cornell University - has anyone ever said, "Boy, wish I would have left Cornell early and jumped to minor league hockey, now that I've thought about it, I really don't need that degree." If it's that tough, take Ag Ec or Communications. You can attend classes and do two hours of work a day and easily graduate (to be fair, assumingby RatushnyFan - Hockey

Dianne, I'm curious as to why you're capitalizing Good in your examples. Is it a category that has been defined elsewhere in the text (that we don't have)? You might want to take the time to define this for us in advance to avoid confusing careful Cornell readers. And remember this: if it's not in Strunk & White, it ain't worth learnin'. Seriously, do you spend a lot of time thinkiby RatushnyFan - John Spencer Is Dead

Re: 2004 All Over Again? - 18 years ago
fenwickIn fact, in terms of unrealized potential (what a god-awful phrase), this team reminds me a lot of the 90-91 squad. Back then, Cornell had 13 NHL draft picks on its roster. OK, this was pre-European-invasion, and three of the picks were in the supplemental draft, but still, this was a wildly talented Big Red team. And yet, in a not terribly strong year for the ECAC, they wound up blowinby RatushnyFan - Hockey

Re: ?s from a first time Lynah visitor - 18 years ago
kroseI know a lot of folks who got into Cornell hockey during that era, so there must have been something to the Lynah experience even then. It was very strong for the initial post-Nieuwendyk era from '88-'92. Always a full, raucous rink. But we were still pretty good then so someone who experienced the '93-'95 debacle is probably who you're looking for. And let me point out that Parris Duffusby RatushnyFan - Hockey
Re: Harvard ejectsion - 18 years ago
mikee293so can we go to Bright, throw some stuff on the ice at the opening of the 2nd period, and then have Harvard serve 2 mins in the box? Smart Harvard fans might do the same to us. WAIT!! Iggulden: 13 career goals/34 total points in 110 career Cornell games. Yet 18 goals and 37 points in 54 AHL games this year. Wow. Pretty impressive (other than the -11 on a clearly defensively challenged team).by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Dany Heatley goal against Germany was pretty sweet. Video highlights are a great way to catch up on the game scoring if you didn't "work" at home/watch the games. If you put your face very close to the screen you can even see the puck.by RatushnyFan - Hockey

Doug cracks the top 20 rookie defensemen list per TSN (ahead of Josh Gorges). I guess they forget to tell the coach about how to allocate ice time. Another article in the San Fran Chronicle indicated that Doug won't suit up again prior to the Olympics.by RatushnyFan - Hockey
