Re: Hahvahd/Dartmouth Roll Call - 12 years ago
I'll be at Lynah East +6. Lost one attendee, so we now have an extra ticket. I'll post it on the exchange, but if anyone sees this and needs one, call me at 508-816-6603.by Killer - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0 Vermont 0 (pregame) - 12 years ago
jtwcornell91 cbuckser Greg Berge Has anybody ever heard of a game being "pre-poned"? Say, for example, during baseball season there's a near certainty of a hurricane hitting a site on Sunday. A logical solution: move the Sunday game up to create a Saturday twinbill. Does that ever happen? The Reds and Marlins are playing a pre-poned game right now, in order to avoid a rainout tomorby Killer - Hockey
Re: LynahEast tickets - 12 years ago
I'm also in the front row, but at the other end of the aisle. I went to a Dartmouth game at Lynah East a few years ago and sat right next to their bench. The air gets pretty ripe. Enjoy.by Killer - Hockey

Re: Lacrosse 2011 polls [3/21 #10] - 13 years ago
Ben Jeff Hopkins '82 Ben That seemed to have been the attitude at women's hockey until the later stages of this season. It didn't stop us from trying to create some atmosphere, but we'll see how things go on Saturday. I'm not saying to avoid trying to create some atmosphere. I remember a lot more atmosphere at lacrosse games back "when I was a lad" so it was certainly done in the pasby Killer - Other Sports

Jim Hyla billhoward ugarteMy mistake was skimming past the "On Stony Brook". I thought that it was one long quote from a game preview. In context, you are right that it clearly refers to Stony Brook's at-large hopes. Which if Quint is correct would now be nil.Oxymoron. Let's hope Quint is right on at least one thing. If you watched Dartmouth-North Carolina last night, late in the gaby Killer - Other Sports

I don't know. The more I look at it, the more I see pentagrams. I've always suspected that Bill might be possessed. Now I think he may be trying to turn the rest of us. But do keep posting all those great photos, Bill.by Killer - Hockey
Re: Goalie Choice for Atlantic City - 13 years ago
Jim Hyla dbilmes We would have lost to Yale no matter who was in goal. But with Garman in goal, I'm convinced it would have been a more competitive game.I'm not. I have to agree. I was hoping to see Garman between the pipes, but I'm afraid all that would have changed would have been the guy facing all the pucks. Re: The Sad Thread: Worst Losses in Cornell History - 13 years ago
Trotsky Al DeFlorioBU was 12-0; Cornell 11-0. Ranked #1 and #2, respectively, in the country at game time. BU was the established power; Cornell, the upstart.I have heard that this was the game when "Screw BU" started. Is that true or just retconned apocraphra? Though it must have started sometime... It's funny, I had always thought of that game being at MSG as part of the ECACby Killer - Hockey

jkahn Trotsky Jim Hyla At least the Harvard women can beat NU in the Beanpot. They have shootouts in the Beanpot? Jesus H. Christ, our civilization has failed. No shootout in the men's Beanpot. They did a full intermission before the BU-BC overtime on Monday. Not sure what they do in the consolation game. Well, given that it's BU-Harvard, I don't think we'll find out this year.by Killer - Hockey

I'm planning to be there, hopefully bringing a few others. Wasn't expecting a band, but that would be nice. I'm sure our women would appreciate it. Any cowbell players in the area?by Killer - Hockey

SRO Tickets Available for Harvard Game 1/29 - 13 years ago
I got a message this evening from a friend saying that there are still some standing room tickets available for Saturday's game at Harvard. Tickets can be purchased at the Ticket Office at Bright. BTW, I know this has been discussed elsewhere, but if you or anyone you know received tickets printed with a 4:00 PM gametime (like mine), remind them that it's 7:00 PM. See you at the game. Jeff Hopkins '82 Rita jkahn Evan Barlow rejoined the Idaho Steelheads on Dec. 31, and has 15 points (6g, 9a) in 13 games. Prior to that he was playing with Valerenga in Norway, where he had 22 points in 27 games and is still the team's 4th leading scorer. Mark McCutcheon, a Steelhead teammate of Barlow last year. also started the season at Valerenga, but after 23 points in 16 games, moved toby Killer - Hockey
Re: Women's Season Stuff - 13 years ago
billhoward Jeff Hopkins '82 Will you two shake the sand out of your KRACHs and end this pissing match. Geez, you'd think it was the off-season.
