Re: Has this ever happened? - 14 years ago
Josh '99pfibigerWell, Doug Berk, Geoff Roeszler, Steve Shandley, Tim Strawman and Tom Whitehead played against Cornell the year before they transferred from Penn (when the team folded). I don't know whether Cornell played the U-18 the year Chris Gartman played there, but it's certainly possible.Tangent: relatives of Jordan Berk and Tyler Roeszler? Yup, fathers. Where have you been?by nr53 - Hockey

Re: Football 10/3/09 at Colgate - 14 years ago
imafrshmn Why do football coaches and players have this belief that their entire town's or school's self-esteem and spirits ride on their team? This isn't Podunk, Texas. That's right dammit, here our spirits ride on our hockey team... If you don't think more people get lucky on campus after a huge victory in whatever sport is most popular then you must really still be a freshman Yeahby nr53 - Other Sports

Re: Clarkson hockey players face sex charges - 14 years ago
To be fair, the charges are sexual contact with a minor and both are just recruits themselves (18yrs old). It has always bothered me that there's some magical instant of maturity that comes when you turn 18 that suddenly makes it "ok" to have sex. I'll assume the best in this case, consensual among all parties and maybe she was 17 or something. On the grand scale of "Sex charges&quby nr53 - Hockey
Re: 2009-2010 Schedule - 14 years ago
I went ahead and put this all in Google Calendar again. It seems that Google may have changed how you can add calendars so I've included the links below. HTML version: iCal: XML: I'll try and update them based on schedule changes and try and include the TV coverage when applicable. Like before, let me know if you find any mistakes.by nr53 - Hockey

French RageRitaRoy 82Jeff Hopkins '82KeithKlynah80That puts 27 guys on the roster. I wonder if Mike will carry all of them. Hopefully it doesn't mean Coach knows something about certain players that we don't. *fingers crossed* Given recent trends, I think you have to at least plan for it. lynah80 How small are they exactly: Average weight without goalies, based on rosters listed on home pages: Cornell: 193 +/- 16 Beimidji: 187 +/- 15 mean +/- stdev Number of players > 200 lbs Cornell: 10 Beimidji: 4 That includes everyone, injured or not. Re: ECAC SF#2: Cornell 0 Princeton 0 (pregame) - 15 years ago
I recorded the game today on my DVR and I even set it to record more time after the supposed end of the game and wouldn't you know it, the stupid thing stops recording about 8 minutes into the second OT. For those of you keeping score at home, that's roughly 2 minutes of playing time before the end of the game... and of course the first half hour of the recording is just nonsense too. Re: Ryan Vesce - 15 years ago
Roy 82 Awesome! He was up for a couple of games a few weeks ago but didn't make much of an impact and saw limited ice time. Most important, I hope he stays up for Saturday's CU at the Sharks vs. Stars outing and that he can join Douglas at the post-game get-together. ....Now if Dallas would only recall Sawada... That's a good point, I didn't think about that. It would be cool to meet botby nr53 - Hockey

RatushnyFanThese pictures are excellent. I'm an acknowledged skate freak..........I have 3 boys playing hockey (we're a Bauer family, currently wearing Vapor XXXX's). What kind of skates is Dan Nicholls wearing in photo 29 of 67? I think I recognize all of the other skate models on our guys. I think they're Easton skates. Re: BU at MSG 2009 tickets on sale this Friday - 15 years ago
We called ticket master group sales (current count is me plus 20) but the lady we talked to could only offer us tickets in the 200 level. She said something about not having accesss to the lower bowl tickets so we tried the cornell box office instead. We were "put on the list" for those tickets and were assured that our preferences would be taken into account. FWIW, they said they had sby nr53 - Hockey
