My point was more about the groundswell of opinion in Cornell's favor rather than the the "softer" good things will come, part of my post. Jeff Hopkins '82KillerRedscoreI firmly believe that things happen for a reason and good things are going to come out of this. I cant wait for next year. Well, one good thing that will come out of this (Boston fans will understandably disagree) is that the Red Sox won't win the World Series this year. How do I know that? Re: Cornell-Syracuse Postgame - 14 years ago
I still can't bring myself to watch the recording I made of the game. For the last three days, I keep seeing Seibald with the ball right in front of us (we were in section 101) starting that clear. As much as I want to see all the details of what went wrong, it's just too painful. I think the last time I had this feeling in my gut was when I broke up with my last girlfriend, before meeting myby Killer - Other Sports
Re: Final Four Tickets - 14 years ago
BCrespiKillerDamn, with all these fees they're charging, I think I'll drive down there tomorrow and buy directly from the box office. Even if gas were still $4/gal, I'd come out way ahead. Ticketmaster: Contributing to global climate change one service charge at a time. Sucks, doesn't it, that driving there is the more economical choice (BTW, Tom, parking was free)? If I'd known you were going to do that, I wouldn't have bought through Ticketshafter. I'd have asked you to buy a set of tix for me. Sorry. I didn't know myself. Re: Cornell 9 at Brown 11 lax postgame - 15 years ago
Al DeFlorioShould also add how great it was to watch the game sitting with Jeff, Tim and Mrs. V, Killer and Mrs. Killer, and TomP. It was great watching the game with all of you as well. And let me add that the Killer in-laws, both in their 80s and seeing their first lax game ever, thoroughly enjoyed it. Now they're asking me about tickets to Foxboro. Re: Bitz gets his first playoff point - Boston Globe article - 15 years ago
Here's an article from today's Globe about Bitz and his role in last night's game: He thinks they made the right call on the penalty, though I have to say, it looked awfully close on the replays as to whether he got the puck or the skates first.by Killer - Hockey

TimVL-JAnd it is not disposed of, just in a safe resting place for now. The sign is not in great shape, and it is doubtful that it will be returned to it's former location. Fix it to make it safe and hang it in the Game Room at WSH. Otherwise, I think it's time for another Collegetown Riot. Re: Anyone leaving on Saturday from the Boston area? - 15 years ago
I just posted a ticket for sale for Friday's games, due to Somers being sick today. If she bounces back tomorrow, she might be up for the Saturday games. I offered to come back to get her, but if anyone is leaving from the Boston area on Saturday, it would be great if she can snag a ride. Call me on my cell: 508-816-6603 Many thanks.by Killer - Hockey

Flyers1037Beeeej...and the WRPI feed goes down. mine hasn't. using the 64 kb/s mp3 feed I'm using that one as well. I tried the others Friday and Saturday, but after working for a while, they got choppy and cut out. The 64 seems to be the most reliable.by Killer - Hockey

Re: Cornell-RPI Postgame (Game 2) 3/14/09 - 15 years ago
TrotskyACMVery likely, this game tied the record for fewest shots allowed in a game. At least, that was the record in "The Cornell Hockey Record Book", and I can't recall a game in which the record was broken since that book was published. On 10/29/04, McKee and Davenport combined to stop 7 of 8 shots by Army. Did RPI have a legit SOG in the 3rd period, meaning one that they themselby Killer - Hockey
