Re: 10/22 - 18 years ago
Per the recap on USCHO, W.O.'s goalie has played professionally in the AHL with Springfield.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

UVM 5 - UMD 1 final. Either Duluth sucks or UVM is a good team (or a little of both).by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the pros - October 2005 - 18 years ago
Cook was listed on the roster when I checked the webpage just now (9:18 Sat. PM).by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: Sucks loses their exhibition game - 18 years ago
If it means anything, Sucks played each goalie for 30 mins. The second sieve (Justin Tobe) gave up 4 goals on 9 shots. They outshot McGill 42-22. So they may not be as bad as the score indicates. They just have a serious sieve for a second-string goalie.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Same here. My sister lives 20 miles north of Worcester. Any excuse for a visit!by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: cu 4 - u18 1 - final - 18 years ago
Colgate gets revenge on Army for last year: 6-1 'Gate. And Holy Cross upsets UMass 3-2. Guess we can't take these AHA schools lightly any more.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Cute, Roy. I'd have one of the operators over here translate it into Korean, but I don't think their English is good enough, never mind their Spanish.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: cu 2 - u18 0 - after 1 - 18 years ago
That thought did actually occur to me Looks like U-18 was up 4 on 3. Gametracker missed one of the three.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: cu 2 - u18 0 - after 1 - 18 years ago
Anybody want to translate Gametracker saying we only had two players on the ice for the U-18 goal?by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: cu 2 - u18 0 - after 1 - 18 years ago
Hard to tell from what I've seen so far, but based on the two goals, it's pretty clear what the #1 power play unit is: Moulson-Scott-Bitz Pokulok-O'Byrneby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: cu 2 - u18 0 - after 1 - 18 years ago
Where do you find the gametracker link? Do you need all access?by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: [Ticket Line] How does everyone else do it? - 18 years ago
Someone should tell Athletics that this is a method for assessing fan interest. From that they can determine where they can focus their budgets and where they can charge higher advertising dollars. That might make them spend the money to put in a monitoring system.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: [OT] NHL Scoring Out of Control! - 18 years ago
If that's the case, it seems like they apply it inconsistently. I'm sure they don't, but it does seem that way to me. I'll have to watch for that once I get back to the states.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: [OT] NHL Scoring Out of Control! - 18 years ago
Also don't forget "the Gretzky Rule." During his playing days, both players during offsetting minors sat in the box and they played 4 on 4. Edmonton was scoring too much, so now they play 5 on 5 (though the players are still out for 2+ minutes). I mean when's the last time you saw a good 3 on 3 - not too often. I'd rather they repeal that rule, too, but It probably won't happen.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: [OT] NHL Scoring Out of Control! - 18 years ago
That save was the play of the day on CNN World Sport this AM in Korea, which is unusual since that program is usually 30 minutes of soccer and cricket highlights. The fact that hockey even raised a ripple, says how incredible the save was. Though I'm glad the Flyers eventually won out after choking so badly (again).by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: French Rage is right!!! - 18 years ago
Hobbit references? I think they'd be more applicable to Topher, not Moulsonby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: places to eat after the game - 18 years ago
Nice! I don't get back to Ithaca too often, but you just got another customer the next time I'm there. Always glad to support the Cornell Hockey "family."by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: Oct 14, 15 - 18 years ago
And Michigan is now 3-0, and will probaqbly be 4-0 after Sunday. My money says if OSU beats CC on Saturday, then they're #1, Michigan #2 and we stay #3. If OSU and CC split, Michigan is #1, OSU and CC #2 & #3 and we're #4. Not that it matters.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: [OT] Princeton Tickets - 18 years ago
The only downside to buying through Princeton is you end up on their mailing list and get all sorts of mailings on football, squeakball, etc. Other than that, no difference. Last year I just showed up and bought SRO. Nobody in the CU section cares about seat location anyway.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Jordan 04 Wrote: Ignoring the after-school special lessons on the "real world," (sounds too much like "this is how you're supposed to cheer" comments), I think the point made by those who wouldn't mind seeing Chabot get into the game was that it should be done only if there is nothing being sacrificed by doing so. Plus, what about all that Chabot "has worked for&quoby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
Re: Louis Chabot- Senior Weekend - 18 years ago
If you have to live in touchy-feely land, where everybody has to feel good about themselves, then you just don't understand life in the real world (and I'm not talking MTV). I respect Louis for sticking it out even though I think he probably knows he'll never see any significant playing time. But you don't sacrifice everything all of the other players have worked for to give him a warm and fuby Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey

Well it shows that they at least respect us. Whether it means anything about the success for the season is doubtful.by Jeff Hopkins '82 - Hockey
