Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: RIP @ Cornell - 11 years ago
css228 Ben Trotsky flyersgolfI hope our gritty big boys can contain themselves until the game is in hand, before they discuss with Greg Burgdoerfer the hit he put on Cole Bardreau. Don't even suggest it, we still need everybody for the next game. Granting that somebody should lay a hit on that guy that's so hard his goonier brother feels it, I hope it's not us. jtn27 CowbellGuy jtn27 Chris 02 Is the 2013 version available? Let me make it simple for you: in a nutshell, we do not have a shot at the ECAC title this year. Your nut's shell has a large hole in it. If you're saying what I think you're saying, I disagree. Technically, yes, we can still win the ECAC title. But I highly doubt that we can win 6 postseason games, at least one of which will prby CowbellGuy - Hockey

Trotsky Kyle Rose That said, writing Javascript directly to the browser's terrible event interface is frowned upon these days. You may want to look into replacing what you have with jQuery: it'll do exactly what you want on every browser without any tweaking, and it will greatly simplify whatever code you have in there. It also has plugins and modules to do some neat visualization that I think yoby CowbellGuy - Hockey

If you followed the Twitter feed you'd know I was frantically chasing the problem. Only affected users with no watched teams, so I added a little server-side kludge that will cause Air Force to appear as a watched team for those folks. The bug fix was submitted and an expedited review was requested so hopefully 1.6.2 will be available in a couple days. Until then, ignore those highlighted Air Forby CowbellGuy - Hockey

It was only the return trip I was asleep for. I suppose I can forgive you considering the sun was coming up by the time we got back to Ithaca. It's not FSN, it's FCS, their dedicated college networks. Basically 3 regional college-only channels. Probably the lowest household penetration for anything actually considered a national network, but I'm not complaining. It's certainly better than nothing.by CowbellGuy - Hockey

There are many, many of us, you know. All sentient beings hate the shootout along with OTL points and southern expansion, but John had specifically called it out in an earlier post. I'm fine with the shootout in NHL regular season games, but that's about it. I don't think it belongs in college hockey or any game with rby CowbellGuy - Hockey

ursusminor The only positive about the move is that the band now gets up and moves toward center ice between periods 2 and 3 where they can lead the students in the alma mater, or at least they could if the students knew the words. Even if all they did was hum along it would raise the bar in crowd participation at The Morgue.by CowbellGuy - Hockey

ugarte Do you update the "next game" sidebar manually? If so, I'm actually not looking to inconvenience you and don't care if you actually update it. You have a life to live. On the other hand, if it is supposed to update automatically, it isn't updating and it doesn't look like anyone else has mentioned it here. I can't choose to ask for the desktop version of eLynah on my favorite Android browsers. The browsers that offer the desktop request function don't deal with eLynah forum in a way that is easy to read. So you want me to design a whole new car because this oby CowbellGuy - Hockey

Not to mention playing while the Cornell band was playing. Other than teams-entering-the-ice and post-goal/period, there is typically some band etiquette they seem to ignore. They did, at least, seem to stop their annoying percussion-during-play antics.by CowbellGuy - Hockey

flyersgolf One thing I left out from last night was Wilcox is still adjusting to the speed of the game. He has way too many turnovers. I remember when they benched Whitney for games when he was young for the same reason. Wilcox needs to speed it up mentally and physically. I thought for sure Stoick would be in there tonight.
