Re: Pre-Frosh Back Again - 21 years ago
I got five good size fish in this year. Four were about 8-9 inches long, the last was about 13-14 inches long. I had two in each of my shoes (the heads 'popped' literally), and the last around my waist. I was a bit inebriated when I got to the game, so my memory is a bit blurry, but lets just say some authority figures knew I had fish and were cool with it. I got a half-assed pat down but the copby Adam 04 - Hockey

I think you are confused... Dolphins=mammal, Sharks (no bone skeleton... all cartilage, have gills) = kind of fish.by Adam 04 - Hockey
Re: A New Lynah - 21 years ago
To address the issue of a hanging scoreboard while maintaining the low ceilings. Imagine a roof line kind of like DIA, except supported externally by steel. This would create low ceilings at the periphery of the rink, and a ceiling high enough in the middle to accommodate the height of a score board. The score board would be visible from all locations as long as the engineers were careful enoughby Adam 04 - Hockey

I think it is possible to design a building that accomplished most of what you want with only a few sacrifices. It would probably take some fancy architecture and a bunch of money, but I think it is definitely possible. I really don't think the capacity needs to increase at all. With the new regulations the same amount of seating is going to take up almost 1.5 times the current area. I would notby Adam 04 - Hockey

1. Peter Natyshak Award, Career Improvement Sam Paolini- He has made the most progress in my time watching the senior class. 2. Randy MacFarlane Award, Transcendent Beauty and Skating Prowess Michael Knoepfli- The kid can fly. He does well in open ice, along the boards, on defence, on the forecheck... allover the place. I think he is by far the best skater on the team. 3. Dave Shippel Awarby Adam 04 - Hockey

Re: Stick blade above '4 ?? - 21 years ago
Bullshit!!! A few nights ago in the NHL playoffs a guy batted the puck into the net. He hit his stick down against the crossbar, but contacted the puck below the crossbar. The goal stood. Barry Melrose even talked about how it was ok for a part of the stick to be above four feet as long as the part that contacts the puck is below for feet. It was not high sticking for the last time!!!by Adam 04 - Hockey

Screw the lottery - 21 years ago
There should not be a lottery. The tickets should go to the first 150 people from the original ticket line this past fall. If a person cannot go, then the University should go to the next person. How about transportation as a part of the package? Now that would be nice. I hope we have some thinkers back there. Now that would really make sense.by Adam 04 - Hockey

Re: St. L 2 - Colgate 5 - 21 years ago
On a related note. One time this year a guy that was in section C dumped a cup of soda on a player in the penalty box. Although this was inappropriate on his part, the player in the box definitely provoked the situation by spraying water over the glass. I think it started when the player threw a tantrum in the box, he got heckled a bit for his antics, then sprayed his water on many innocent fans.by Adam 04 - Hockey

Pre-game speech - 22 years ago
This sounds like a speech my soccer coach made my sophomore, junior, and senior years before each playoff game. We won 2 out of the 3 years! I guess it is a very arrogant attitude, but sometimes it is good to set high goals. Although, this type of outlook can’t be very pleasant, seeing as how the majority of the time you won’t meet your ultimate goal. Sounds like bulletin board material to lightby Adam 04 - Hockey
Re: Poll on Arthur - 22 years ago
I don't think so. 6810votes/34262 total visits. You can only vote once, and as we all know, the same people visit this site several times a day. Even if every vote was cast by different users, 34262total visits/6846total votes, equals an average of 5 visits per user. I know most people vist here at least that many times per day, let alone, ever. I think it is funny.by Adam 04 - Hockey
