Re: the loss of the cha inevitable? - 18 years ago
TrotskySection A BansheeClassical Latin, however, is letter soup. And all caps. Talk about indecipherable. Good grammar and proper punctuation and capitalization, since they indicate politeness to the reader, have always been class and education indicators. Follow your instincts. The rest of us will draw our conclusions. follow your own instincts as well. if you are judging levels of class aby jy3 - Hockey

ugarteJerseygirlI'm a huge fan of proper grammar, punctuation and capitalization, but I cut jy3 a break because he's been on here forever, he knows his shit, and after being on call for 24 hours as a doctor, the last thing he needs is to come on here and have people on his ass regarding something that ain't gonna change.I'll bet the pharmacists can't read his prescriptions. That is probably the mby jy3 - Hockey
Re: the loss of the cha inevitable? - 18 years ago
whatever works, roy. there are more important things to worry about than my lack of punctuation and use of big letters. as i said a posting in the hockey forum with the letters "c" "h" and "a" together suggests a hockey post and not an off topic post. maybe I am asking too much for people to realize that just as you are asking too much for me to use punctuation and bby jy3 - Hockey

Roy 82jtwcornell91Liz '05JerseygirlSilly me, I read that thread title before seeing who started it, and thought the "cha" was something like "chi" or energy flow. I should have realized that a) that poster doesn't believe in caps and b) this crowd ain't that new-agey. I thought "cha...as in cha-cha?" You and me both. You and me three. Re: Alumni in the Pros - April 2006 - 18 years ago
nice to see dominic moore having the mic last night in the devils game. too bad his team had to loseby jy3 - Hockey
Re: the loss of the cha inevitable? - 18 years ago
maybe, though, for the benefit of all those teams, joining in a league even though u have different philosophies is the way to go. compromise may be better than making a decision for a team that doesn't exist.by jy3 - Hockey
the loss of the cha inevitable? - 18 years ago
it will be interesting how this pans out. curious what everyone thinks about the possibility of the cha folding if they do not gain a 6th memberby jy3 - Hockey

Re: Next Year's OOC Games & Other Stuff - 18 years ago
i hope that the niagara game is either in rochacha or up by the gorge. that would be sweet for those of us who live near the falls. could coach be giving fans directions to where he hopes cornell will be playing in a regionalby jy3 - Hockey
Re: NC game - 18 years ago
ftyuvThat last post hit would make me cry if I were a BC fan/player. A cm to the left, it would have gone in. Half a cm, it would have bounced enough towards the center to bounce off Elliott's back and go in. As far as sports go, I don't think tough breaks get much tougher than that. well having a goal that was a true goal not called a goal is tougher. wow, that was an interesting sentenceby jy3 - Hockey
Re: NC game - 18 years ago
excellent game for both teams. bc took some bad penalties. congrats to bucky. nice to know cornell took the champs to 3 OTby jy3 - Hockey
Re: INCH All-Americans - 18 years ago
yeah inch always makes we wonder. although meaningless, their 3/27 rankings have us at #9 after taking the team who hopefully will win the game that starts in 10 minutes to multiple OTs...by jy3 - Hockey
Re: Another reason to dislike Albany - 18 years ago
ah that kinda sucks. i liked going to rats games while in town to see nj prospects. glad i never got a jerseyby jy3 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Skills Competition - 18 years ago
DeltaOne81Roy 82Wins what? OT of what? Was it an all-star game or rounds of various skills tests such as penalty shots, skating around cones etc. Please explain. Rounds of various skills: Puck handling, fastest skaters, hardest shot, rapid shots (really a test of the goalies mostly), penalty shots There were 8 guys and 8 girls on each team (6 skaters, 2 goalies of each gender for eachby jy3 - Hockey
Re: BU-Cornell - 18 years ago
Al DeFlorioThanks, Mark. This is really good news. Let's hope both teams are at the top of their games come the renewal. The origin of "Screw BU" is in fact a BU cheer, where the band does (and, at the time, it seemed they did it every sixty seconds) "Dum dum dum,da-da-da-da, dum dum dum, da-da-da-da, dum dum dum, da-da-da-da, DUM-DUM-DUM" and the fans answer with GO BU.by jy3 - Hockey
Re: McKee signs with Anaheim - 18 years ago
ithacatjy3 McGahee knows about staying longer only to get injured. True, though I don't think the risk for a running back and a goalie are quite the same. quite true, but you never knowby jy3 - Hockey
Re: McKee signs with Anaheim - 18 years ago
good luck to dave on his pro hockey career. His mom was great to meet in albany and I wish the family success. It would have been nice to see him one more year to collect that extra banner next year. The more I think of players leaving early and the incentives to do so, especially this year with the transition in cba as mentioned above, I can understand it. McGahee knows about staying longer onlyby jy3 - Hockey
Re: Johnson Stays At Michigan - 18 years ago
yep here too maybe we should cahnge this thread title to 2006 defectionsby jy3 - Hockey
Re: Any word on McKee's nagging injury? - 18 years ago
i thought he was referring to the team, not sure if dave was included. i have not heard anythingby jy3 - Hockey

Re: Best picture ever - last night in Worcester. - 18 years ago
don't feed the trolls, though I would be interested to know what team the troll cheers for. since the game is over, I now can say that is a sweet pictureby jy3 - Hockey
