CowbellGuy crodger1 Forum looking good. I tend to keep up from my crappy phone using Google Reader's RSS. RSS just shows new topics now, but not new posts. Is RSS going away? Not a disaster for me if it is, but just thought I'd ask. OK, got it. There are actually RSS feeds embedded on each page with and without replies. At least here if I click and hold the RSS link, I can pick which oneby crodger1 - Hockey

Re: O'Byrne - 15 years ago
Speculation in The Hamilton Speculator Spectator was that it would be a short stint. Let's hope for O'B that it is. Garry McKay, The Hamilton Spectator O'Byrne was pretty happy about getting to play with the Bulldogs tonight and tomorrow evening. The 6-foot-6, 228-pounder is here on a conditioning stint. It can't be any longer than a couple of weeks and could be as little as a few days.by crodger1 - Hockey

Well, new month and more bad news -- Moulson out with what appears to be a serious knee injury. Dan Hickling, New England Hockey JournalThe Manchester Monarchs suffered two devastating injuries in the same game, Sunday’s 4-0 loss at Portland. Both right winger Matt Moulson and center Jason Azevedo suffered what initially appeared to be serious knee injuries, both of which occurred on contact pby crodger1 - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros - October 2008 - 15 years ago
KeithKDoug Murray is out of the Sharks' lineup tonight with an upper body injury. Sounds like a day to day thing but the FSN announcers didn't have any details and didn't know when he might be back in the lineup. Douglas is apparently back in the lineup, and should be playing tonight against the Red Wings (he played in the last couple of games). While searching I ran across a slightly old cby crodger1 - Hockey
AitP - Oct 2008 - Moulson back in lineup - 15 years ago
Jacob called it: Jacob '06I would expect O'Sullivan to find his way to the first line relatively soon. According to this Daily News story, O'Sullivan returns to the top line, and Moulson should be the LW on the 4th line tonight (with Raitis Ivanans and Derek Armstrong) against the Canucks. The game is on FSW at 10:30ET.by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: LA Times article about Moulson - 15 years ago
Jacob '06Having watched the games he has played in, I highly doubt it. He is a bit slower than the other two guys on his line, and at times has looked really uncomfortable out there with them. The only way I see him sticking is because of his defensive responsibility, and the fact that Brown and Kopitar were on the ice for way too many goals against last year. However, O'Sullivan is known as a prby crodger1 - Hockey

And let's see you put that into a cheer. Wish I could try -- will be stuck in MA during the game. It would be more useful if they were the Canadian U-18 anyway... Jacob '06 However, O'Sullivan is known as a pretty good defensive forward, and has way more offensive upside than Moulson. I would expect O'Sullivan to find his way to the first line relatively soon. If O'Sullivan had been at camp you might be right that he would have been paired with them. Some of King's Coach Terry Murray's comments in one of the intermissions suggested that he just doesn'tby crodger1 - Hockey

ebilmesLeNeveu is the Rangers's third goalie for the playoffs...Did I miss this somewhere? I think it just happened after Hartford lost -- I saw it today (well, yesterday, I guess) on the AHL transactions page: I didn't put 2+2 together, though. So could the Rangers technically use him? Re: AitP - April 2008 (Monarchs v. Bruins) - 16 years ago
The Monarchs/Providence series was an interesting one. Anne(DVM) and I were able to make it to 3 of the 4 games in the series (and watched the first game of the series with our "friends", B2Networks). All of them were really close, 3 ending in OT, one with the GWG with about 3 mins left in the 3rd. If the series had gone to 7 games the Monarchs would have played the Bruins 10 gamesby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Frozen four championship game BC4-ND1 - 16 years ago
It really looked to me (from where I was sitting on my couch at home) that he was trying to kick the puck onto his stick blade and missed. No not only did he not kick it into the net, I don't think he was even trying to do so. Bleh, time for a new season already.by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: NCAA Regionals, March 30 - 16 years ago
Jeff Hopkins '82Jim HylaIt seems like a small thing, and he gives a lot more color than many. I guess I'm more concerned about some of the no nothing announcers. I'll give you that. He does enjoy the game, and he knew his stats and player names. There are a lot worse. He also seemed to do it less on Sunday than Saturday. However, he did refer to the schools as "franchises" earlyby crodger1 - Hockey

RichHcrodger1Let's go Knights, I guess. Ugh. I have no problems cheering for Clarkson in this regional at all. Wish I were there. Oh, no hesitation on my part either, although "Let's go Knights" makes it feel like a hijacked LGR! cheer. That being said, I'm delighted they won -- congrats CCT. RichHMoulson is wearing an "A" for Manchester Speaking of Moulson, I saw that the Kings just sent Gabe Gauthier back down after three games and called up Jeff Giuliano, who has played in 1 game so far. According to the NHL game rosters, all of three them were at left wing -- are the Kings looking for a permanent one or just brewing coffee for all the AHL left wingers in their system?by crodger1 - Hockey

Chris 02How is it that they keep track to the second of all the ice-time in box scores? On Yahoo, they just list total ice time, but on ESPN they list everything, PP, SH, and even. I think someone posted some kind of graph on here a while back. Seems like a lot of stats keeping. I'm slightly confused by your question. What do you mean by "how is it"? LaJollaRedInteresting: I wonder if anyone else noticed that Greening left the bench to join the fight, but the team screamed at him to come back. He stopped, seemed to think about it for a second, then sprinted back to the bench. Did anyone else see that? Was this at the start of the fight or later on? Re: Cornell-Yale Post Game - not Frozen Four contenders yet - 16 years ago
billhowardAlso: There was nobody home at the game. No Yale fans. Hardly any Cornell fans. (But still more Cornell fans than Yale, or so it seemed.) The "Red!" shout during the anthem was the most raggedy-assed Cornell cheer in years. No Cornell pep band. Re: Alumni in the Pros - November 2007 - 16 years ago
I know there is another thread, but Moulson was sent back down to Manchester. According to speculation by the LA Times it might be in part due to the salary cap: Lisa Dillman, LA Times Kings' Moulson sent to minors November 5, 2007 Matt Moulson's first trip to the NHL was a brief one, as the Kings sent the 24-year-old forward back to their minor league affiliate in Manchester (N.H.)by crodger1 - Hockey
