Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Hahvahd - 20 years ago
According to the Sucks radio announcers on Saturday the Yale @Sucks game was a sell-out. (With a grain of salt.)by crodger1 - Hockey

I can't seem to get into the chat tonight... is warped.net not working?by crodger1 - Hockey

BigRedIslander wrote: ITs worth $5, but I mean 60 for the year seems like a lot...it def doesnt cost nearly that to run.....they must be making a crapload on it I have got to disagree with you on that. Though the marginal cost is probably fairly low, you still need to have at least 2 or 3 people at the game as well as the equipment. Include in that travel time from Syracuse etc., and I thinkby crodger1 - Hockey

Well, looking at the Yahoo Sports site, number 1 ranked Cornell plays W Michigan tonight. hmm...by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Under-18 Game Photos are up - 20 years ago
I am sure that they are working on a new one for him... my guess is that either he hasn't finalized what he wants on it or that it doesn't feel quite right yet and he's working on the fit. I doubt, unless he is really really superstitious, that we'll see the green one all season.by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: ON-TOPIC Video/Audio Thread - 20 years ago
Don't forget, though, that that feed was from CUTV, so the production value might be a bit higher than we're going to get. I am hopeful, however. But I am sure I'll be in the chat because something will go wrong with my connection/software/whatever. Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: ON-TOPIC Video/Audio Thread - 20 years ago
I can think of two questions... 1) how many people can they stream at once? 2) will the audio be Wodon? At $60, if the sample that I am watching is any indication, it will be a good deal. But I think I may just pay one game first and then decide. Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: [ot] ebay-ing tickets - 20 years ago
For those reporting, you can include a link to pricing information at: Full price of season tickets was $109.00. Please follow-up if you feel strongly about this... we've got about 3 more hours before the sale closes. Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey

That's playing directly off of a long-term stereotype and is extremely offensive. In context, did he mean that all Jews are like this? No, I don't think he did, and I'm Jewish. Umm, perhaps I spend too much time online and just caught it at the right moment After all, it only took 20 minutes for TMQ to get pulled from ESPN.by crodger1 - Hockey

Fractured shoulder, but ok otherwise. Sounds like an 8 or so week recovery period. #by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Friday's Notable Results - 20 years ago
Did I hear correctly that NESN plans to have Friday Night College Hockey starting about January 9th (which will be the next NESN game)? Competing with CSTV? Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Lehman and Hockey Video - 20 years ago
Noticed that too, Al. He should really have camped out for tickets to get a better understanding of the team.by crodger1 - Hockey

As long as the bear doesn't show up before 4:45pm, a time that will be strictly enforced, do you really think there will be any problems?by crodger1 - Hockey
Another question related to away game tix - 20 years ago
I just put my name on the list for some away games with the Cornell ticket office, but wonder if that was a mistake. If they don't get them until some uncertain time before the game, will I know in enough time to try calling the opponent's ticket office and get them from there. Perhaps I should have done that instead? Anyone have insight? Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey

Rumor had it that the entire Bruins team was to be behind home plate for the game too... anyone able to confirm? (Like you TiVo folks out there...)by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Harvard ticket update - 20 years ago
I just talked to RedAR, and yes, that seemed to be what the guy was telling him (the guy had to ask his supervisor). Frankly it is all supremely frustrating. I almost have a mind to encourage no Cornell attendance at Harvard at all, but sadly I think it would be too difficult to enforce and might be a bit of a downer for the CU team. Seems like the second time this year die-hard CU fans have gby crodger1 - Hockey
CSTV Friday Night Hockey: First televised game - 20 years ago
So tonight is the first night of Friday Night Hockey on CSTV. Anyone planning to watch as the Saints take on Miami (OH)? There's CSTV's preview here: Sadly I don't have DirectTV (the only provider in Somerville, MA currently carrying CSTV), and now that the Sports Depot over Allston is closed I don't think I am going to be able to find a sports bar with enough TVs to be willing to put onby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Club of Boston and Cornell at Harvard Tickets - 20 years ago
Sadly I want about 10 tickets for one particular game in my manufactured package I think an in-person trip is called for. I'll see if I can get a little time off work (and more importantly, parking anywhere near Harvard Square).by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Cornell Club of Boston and Cornell at Harvard Tickets - 20 years ago
If you hear anything about when the tickets (or package) actually go on sale, that would be great too, Tom. Some people here were told Oct. 1st, but I was told "Friday. Or Monday". I think the guy really meant "or whatever, if we feel like it". Re: New policy for Cornell at Harvard tickets - 20 years ago
I am no expert here, but I thought those tickets came out of the CU allotment, which, one would assume, would not be "package" tickets. I shouldn't have stuck my neck out here too much since I don't know all the details that well. Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: New policy for Cornell at Harvard tickets - 20 years ago
Option 1: Buy package for $44 to get a $12 Cornell@HarvardSucks Ticket, donating $32 to Harvard Athletics, but assuring low attendance at some games. Option 2: Join Cornell Club of Boston for $32 (individual membership), get $12 ticket (I think that is how it works), with the extra $32 benefitting the CCOB. Just a thought.
