Discussions about the Cornell men's and women's hockey teams
Re: Alumni in the Pros - November 2007 - 16 years ago
Jacob '06According to the NHL.com rosters it looks like Moulson is actually getting in the game tonight despite not even practicing with the team yet. Unfortunately Douglas is out tonight because the Sharks signed Sandis Ozolinsh today and he is playing. I'll stop adding things soon, but I'm pleased for Matt. Part of a story I found online included more info on how little prep time he had:by crodger1 - Hockey

Re: Alumni in the Pros - November 2007 - 16 years ago
Rita Have fun at the game tomorrow night Jacob. If you wear your Cornell jersey, it would be cool if Matt and/or Douglas acknowledged it with a stick tap or something. ps.. take good notes. If I just heard the Sharks announceres, there will not be any TV coverage tomorrow night. Good luck getting picked up out of the crowd, though... I'm not that convinced the players on the ice really seeby crodger1 - Hockey

ESPN is showing Matt Moulson as recalled by the LA Kings as of today. The Kings play the Sharks tomorrow. Hope to see Matt in the lineup! LGR!by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Cornellians who will see ice time in the NHL in '07 - 16 years ago
The RancorRonald '09 How close is Matt Moulson to being NHL ready? Moulson had a decent rookie camp and although not a fan favorite, i find it hard to belive that while leading his team in scoring he is doing any thing but quietly impressing the brass. He might have a cup of tea with the Kings at some point this year. I am pretty sure I read that the Devils also picked up Noah Clarke a coupleby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros - April 2007 - 17 years ago
Moulson had a 5 for fighting in last night's Monarchs win over the Wolfpack. It was "New Hampshire Legends of Hockey" night and they Monarchs wore Dartmouth inspired jerseys. The singularly unattractive jerseys were auctioned off after the game -- Moulson's went for $800. This also means that the right honorable Hugh Jessiman played against the guys in the Dartmouth jerseys. Theby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: is there All access for hockey this year? - 17 years ago
That sounds like the Some Access of years past. Turns out that even if you have an account and can log in, that doesn't mean that you are in good standing (and there appears to be no way to find out your account status online). I did call, however, and they fixed the problem pretty quickly (old credit card info). LGR!by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: is there All access for hockey this year? - 17 years ago
Is there any way to find out whether or not I'm all set? I used my password updated to log in, but I can't access any archived content. Does that mean my subscription is expired or just that I don't have access to that particular content? Thanks for any help! Chrisby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Alumni in the Pros -- Moulson mention in Union Leader - 17 years ago
Each week Mark Morriss (add an S for extra savings?) writes an "Inside Source" column for the Union Leader. This is from this week's write up Mark Morriss <SNIP> Matt Moulson collected his first professional goal on Saturday and it was business as usual. He's an opportunist. Being in the right place at the right time is Matt's forte. He's a natural goal scorer and he will putby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Cornell vs Harvard @ Bright on sale October 4, 2006 @ 9AM EST - 17 years ago
I don't remember exactly from last year, but I think there were people in the office at least an hour before the ticket sale officially started. Of course, I thought the sale was at 9 and now have a meeting scheduled for 10:30 that I can't miss so I don't think I can go in person this year. Thanks for being so indecisive, Harvard. Re: What's the word on Moulson? - 17 years ago
HarrierHey is this still considered Pond Hockey...? Anaheim Pond, yes. Edit: Although the LA Kings site shows the game at "Anaheim Pond" the offical score sheet shows it at "Honda Center". Where the heck is that? Off Score Sheet:by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: 2006-7 Schedule - 17 years ago
Anyone tried looking for the schedule on the official athetics website? They are still showing showing the following: 2005 - 06 Men's Ice Hockey Tentative Schedule and Results My goodness -- not only is it last season's schedule, but it also is last season's "Tentative" schedule. You'd think that by this point you'd be able to say what happened last season. Thank goodness forby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: the loss of the cha inevitable? - 18 years ago
jtwcornell91Liz '05JerseygirlSilly me, I read that thread title before seeing who started it, and thought the "cha" was something like "chi" or energy flow. I thought "cha...as in cha-cha?" You and me both. Nobody saw it as the Cornell Hockey Association? Interesting.by crodger1 - Hockey

RedARCrodge2K, no comments about turn-jersey... Oh, I wouldn't ever suggest that you might be a turn-jersey, would I? When it comes down to it, though, I know you bleed carnelian red.by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Bay Area ECAC Viewing - 18 years ago
Dianne 99Call me a bad fan, but I can't resist the 12+ feet of powder Tahoe has gotten in the last two weeks...so I'll be on the slopes. My CU roomie (and fellow bandie) will be with me though, so maybe we'll find a place up there to watch the games. Good luck with that! If it isn't on the approved list of games in the casino bars you're not going to be watching it there, as I found out tryinby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Sharks vs. Bruins on NESN at 7pm tonight, Jan. 10 - 18 years ago
Doug Murray is playing too (looking at the shift chart now). 5 mins or so into the game Joe Thornton gets booted from the game for a hit on Hal Gill. (I'm listening on the radio at work, so didn't see it.)by crodger1 - Hockey
Re: Cornell 0 Northeastern 0 (1st period) - 18 years ago
KP '06 On closer inspection, their webpage says 7PM, so I guess they'll be playing a delayed version? Yes, that's what they are supposed to be doing. Where are people getting the current feed? It's on the CU All-Access as being live, but I'm getting the annoying chick's "not currently available" crap (like I haven't heard that before). LGR! EDIT: Nevermind. Re: DirecTV and NHL games - 18 years ago
I can confirm that I don't get CI, and I don't get any NHL games on the RSNs -- you'll get the pre and post game shows, but no game. What I can't stand (feel free to tell me how to do it), is that I can't seem to find a way to tell the DirecTiVo to record college (ice) hockey games but not (blank for me) NHL hockey without me manually telling it not to record the NHL games (197 records for spoby crodger1 - Hockey
Re: So, who is going to start the Cornell Hockey Podcast - 18 years ago
And most Podcasts are in some format compatible with other players (most are MP3). I usually listen on my Creative flash-based player -- just drag and drop out of iTunes). I've heard that the iPod can keep track of where you are in the Podcast if you switch away from it which would be nice, but otherwise other players work fine too. Re: Redundant Sign? - 18 years ago
I heard from a DU alum that they football-hockey tickets had been sold in a combo pack, but that many DU fans got cold being rained/snowed on in the PM, went to dinner somewhere, and then didn't make it back to the rink for the second half of their combo ticket. And Sucks' turnout Harvarded. FWIW. LGR!by crodger1 - Hockey
