Big win for the Flames tonight.  Sauve sucks.
Would it have been difficult for you if Lenny were in net? :)

Ari never thought Lenny was any good, remember?

Just guesing but it's pretty much got to be either 1) he and the Pens have decided it makes sense for him to just graduate and there's no pressing need to get him in uniform for the rest of this year or 2) the Pens offer isn't good enough and he can wait and become a free agent later this summer under the current CBA.

If he were going to sign with the Penguins, it would have happened already.  He'll be a free agent this summer and will end up somewhere I'm sure.

D'oh!  As a Pens fan, that would stink. I'd love to be able to cheer for a recent CU alum on my team.  All I have now is a SUCKS alum.

The Islanders who won games 1 and 2 at Nassau Coliseum and the Penguins won games 3 and 4 at the Igloo.  It was the game 5 third-period comeback that made that series so remarkable, though the Penguins' wins in games 3 and 4 were impressive considering how they had been blown out in the first two games.

1985 was the year the Islanders won a 5-game first-round series after falling behind two games to none.  That series was against the Capitals.

If you want to get a Penguins fan's goat, bringing up the 1993 Patrick Division finals would be far more effective.  That year, the Islanders derailed a potential Penguins dynasty--something the Penguins could not do when the skate had been on the other foot in 1982.

I doubt that a reminder of the Islanders' comeback from a three-games-to-none deficit against the Penguins in 1975 would get the same reaction.  That was too long ago, and the Penguins weren't favorites to win the Cup that year.

Rita

Lenny is playing tonight vs. the Sharks.
They are about ready to drop the puck in Phoenix.

Roy 82

I just heard that Lenny is starting in goal tonight (now) for the Coyotes.

I think they are pretty much out of contention so why not give himn a shot.

I am rooting for the Sharks becuase they need the points, but to win just 1-0 in OT.

(Darn, you beat me to it Rita:)

Thanks for the heads up!

Lenny with two great saves on a Sharks 5x3 before giving up a goal on a shot that he couldn't have stopped. How about some defense, Phoenix?
