Never heard that before.  Yikes.

That's a shame. Perhaps LIU could replace them. Or Stonehill. Both geographic and competitive fits.

Hamden is a geographic fit too.  ::)

Been there, done that.  Q was in Atlantic Hockey and its predecessor, the MAAC, for seven years.  You'll find this hard to believe, but they were a top-two seed every year and produced... one championship.

If you lead a good life, go to Sunday school and church, and say your prayers every night, when you die, you'll go to LYNAH!

Yes.  My memory hasn't forgotten the dark day the ECAC let them join.  If not Atlantic I'd also think we can hope they return to club status.

Bearish indicator for parity in college hockey. Everything changed with the transfer portal. It used to be that early departures or a recruiting miss could crush a program. There were times in recent years where the blue-bloods would be too young, or not have a serviceable goalie. Nowadays they just pluck the best available out of the portal to fill any holes and never miss a beat.

Quinnipiac and Dartmouth are going to be clear favorites next season. Almost none of their best players are seniors and there currently aren't any signs of early departures. That's subject to change if kids leave. Cornell, Clarkson, and Harvard should be somewhere in 3 through 5. For Cornell, I assume we'll end up ranked third in the preseason polls, but a lot depends a lot on whether Walsh returns. A lot of the rising sophomores will need to make a big jump. They were very quiet down the stretch. Princeton was senior-dominated and should have a big dropoff.

Can Casty and Walsh put our underclassmen through Faceoff Bootcamp over the summer? 🤔

Bootcamp's great... but they already get time each year with someone who's basically a rock star at the dot.

I'll bet we have good centers next year.

Paying it forward.  Seger was great at the dot. It's tradition.

This is bad. It is bad when the weaker members of our conference get even worse.

Given that Colgate gave us trouble and was the gooniest team we saw this season, I support all their players leaving.

That being said, I get your larger point.
