Don't feed me this uninformed bullshit about Pelletier.

The most deflating and discouraging game I've ever attended. I don't think I could possibly imagine how horrible it was without having been there.
You think that's bad? Imagine being in the room when Pelletier decommitted.

Those are some scathing words and it says a lot how much respect the other coaches have for him. Well deserved, too. One would think Yale should have similar advantages to Harvard since they're around a lot of hockey talent, but the past few years have been rough for them

Maybe.  But also consider the media source.  If Fox/NYP and the rest of the Subhuman League are head hunting, chances are the target is pretext and The Usual Dingleberries are looking for a new DEI scalp to grift on.

RPI got a commit from goalie Ethan McCallum of the Penticton Vees (WHL) for the fall. :) He's the 8th or 9th CHL commit for 2026 depending upon if and when Carter Matthews (Portland Winterhawks) is going to Troy.

Kinda like being up 9-6 late in a lacrosse game. And 9-8 with the ball in the closing seconds.

I wasn't there and it didn't happen.

I can't imagine being your rubber room nor even get close to being in your head.

Just going to point out that Part I of my 3-part series about "The Landcape" of college hockey was posted today. For all the Bear Lovers out there who are interested.

https://www.collegehockeynews.com/news/2026/03/24_CHN-Special-Report-Part-.php

I'd also recommend reading our version of the Yale story. For one, it confirms Fox's and wasn't just Fox being Fox. For two, it has a nugget or two they didn't have. And yes I want more clicks.

One note - this piece says Ivy recruits must be committed by April, but Cournoyer committed June 1.

Good point - there is some wonkiness with different categories. I need to pin that down dammit.

I have no idea, but maybe it could vary by Ivy League school. Also some schools are notoriously more difficult to transfer into, like Princeton.

Could also have been the major junior floodgate opening made an exception?

Think I raised the issue at the time.  Seemed a little unusual

I suspect that by "inertia" you meant "momentum," but whatevs. Jane used "less" when she meant "fewer." I can still tell your writing apart from hers.  :D
