Note that Cornell's Luke Robinson, a middie, made the
All Tournament team for the U20's just concluded in South Korea.

TIL there is international lacrosse.

Are the US and Canada dominant or has some tiny country made it their niche specialty?

My money's on the Finns.  Stamina.

Edit: Um.

Edit edit: HOLY FUCK THIS IS GREAT!

The Haudenosaunee team is fuckin awesome. Heard they're trying to be allowed to play at the Olympics under their flag!

If they secede I'm moving there; who's with me?  I'm sure they'll welcome a horde of pushy white people. What's the worst that could happen?

We went snowshoeing in Allegany State Park a couple of years ago.  On the way out we stopped for gas in the nearest town, Salamanca, which is actually on the Seneca (Onondowaga) reservation.  Since it was shortly after recreational marijuana legalization, the ubiquitous smoke shops had become weed shops.

It seems like a stretch given that e.g., England, Scotland, and Wales have to play as Great Britain in sports where they otherwise play as separate nations, but I suppose the counterexample is that Puerto Rico has its own Olympic team.

it already happened!

The Rancor

I understand that they will play a six on six format, instead of the usual ten on ten. Smaller field, no long sticks, shorter play time.

Terrific backstory!  Nice to see his Dad wearing a Cornell lacrosse cap.

Unfortunately for Rowyn, the circle wasn't quite completed.

"...and led to his eventual commitment to Cornell, the defending national champions."

That's just a delight to read. Going to squeeze as much enjoyment out of that as I can until next Memorial Day.
