The Rancor

We just like twins around here.

RPI had 2 on last year's roster, Trevor Russell and Carson Dorfman.

It's pure wait-and-see. That's just how it is unless the kid is on the USNTDP or was taking in the first round of a junior hockey draft or something to that effect.
incorrect i choose to get excited about the fact that the school targeted a player(s) and the player(s) chose cornell. i will then get angry at what a disappointing failure they are later if they don't crush it.

I choose to get excited about hockey players playing for the team I like ☺️

Peyton: 6'1", 165lbs, Rshot, F position
Ben: 6'0", 165lbs, Rshot, C position

Peyton: 56gp, 22-52-74pts. Puts him at 65th in 16U AAA.
Ben: 49gp, 23-35-58pts.

Top players in 16U AAA are around 110pts this year. Top player this year, Caine Bickel, put up 80-70-150pts. But he's going to the Omaha Lancers so that should fix itself.

Brampton next year... asking CHL friend...

"Their goalies are good"
"Bonded pair" "yes they are twins" "oops"
"If they're good enough to commit they should make it [onto the Steelheads main roster]"
"Bton is pretty mid if I'm remembering"
"I remembered wrong, they didn't make playoffs which means they were bottom 4"
"I think your guys will make it, especially if some of those steelheads get poached"
"First line, third line, press box?" "Uh maybe 3rd right now?"

So we'll see how well they adjust to CHL play. Wouldn't expect miracle numbers given the team seems to be crappy, but development would be good. I'd guess they play 2 years in the O and then come to Cornell at 19 (in 28-29).

My optimism is based on my trust in Casey and his staff to identify talent. While I don't expect blue chippers in this brave new world, our track record remains solid.

Quote from: stereax on August 16, 2026, 02:26:34 PMI mean it's a bullshit ranking by idiots. But it's nice to be respected in the bullshit rankings by idiots.
It's too early to get riled up about Harvard and BU. So we chide each other. My thoughts turn to Daniel Patrick Moynihan on "Defining Deviancy Down," as in what we find as weird, abnormal or criminal needs to be readjusted to account for more deviants and weirdos and now to the new world of odd posts online. Not among this august group, of course. https://www.jstor.org/stable/41212064

I think we can be august for 10 more days, for sure. ;)
"What... is your favorite color?"  "Blue. No, yel--auuuuugh!"

Quote from: BearLover on June 26, 2026, 10:52:10 PMWho changed their number besides DiGiulian?
Hiscock took DiGiulian's number.

Also, 60. I want to vomit. Like Castagna, Rousseau better be worth it 😭

Ashton also moved to 11.

This amount of number changing should be illegal.
Numbers ought to be proportional to name length.  Zadvernyuk getting 7 is visually criminal

For what it is worth (very little I think), RPI's Grayson Burzynski made that US ECAC team as well as well as their Canada ECAC team https://www.instagram.com/p/DcTlPEAETjL/?img_index=2 . It pays to be dual citizen.

Defenders simply cannot wear number 11
