A heavily weighted lottery ticket.

RPI actually has 9 incoming freshmen.
I'll take fourth! (Especially on a "lighter" year.)
I wouldn't take fourth in the ECAC. Also our number is much lower than most teams in B10, HE, and NCHC. The good news though is that Puck Preps is, I assume, totally unreliable.
I don't subscribe to Puck Preps, so I cannot comment on how reliable it is. I do think that calculating a number for each player and then simply adding them up may not be the best thing to do. For example, It is important to factor in how the recruit fills a hole in the team's lineup.

BTW, there are 14 schools in other leagues ranked higher than any ECAC school.

On the other hand, other league teams can usually attract higher-end NHL talent. Cornell isn't going to do that as a matter of fact.

117 points in 78 games at Deerfield.  He's... well, he's not bad, anyway.

Does he play hockey too?

Edit: Looked up his Hockey DB/Elite Prospect page. He had good numbers at Deerfield. 5'10" 170- maybe a little undersized. Maybe he's a practice squad guy with some upside?

If you watched the recordings you would see that Number 9 was Captain at Deerfield and a bit of a sniper.

He entered recruitment for ice hockey.

Ned Harkness would have taken him for both, but I am not sure in this day you can play two sports.

Yeah, don't think you can do both of those at least right now.

Probably decent chance he at least messes around on the ice with the hockey guys at some point though. Not sure if he's allowed to at an official practice because NCAA.

Team manager?

He crushes a guy at 1:35 of the 2nd link then chirps him on the way back up ice. Love the enthusiasm. ;D

One to keep an eye on might be Kellen Paetsch out of Spencerport. He made the U17 NTDP team and has spent the past 2 years with BK Selects. He is a 6'3" defenseman. His dad is an assistant coach with the Amerks and had a long career playing in the AHL and NHL, plus was a 2-time member of Canada's World Junior team. We're overdue for an NTDPer.

any specific reason to believe he's a possibility or is he just a guy who will be on every team's wishlist
