Trotsky (standing atop a large hill overlooking a lake amidst a densely forested landscape). Speaking to no one in particular he smiles and says: "What a wonderful view. It's often so lovely this time of year. Yeah, some years it's been more bleak and gross-looking...but for the last five years or so it's been gorgeous every year." BearLover Trotsky BearLover Trotsky Let's appreciate what we have. Cornell's record after 12 ECAC games, last 5 seasons: 18 10-1-1 19 8-3-1 20 9-1-2 22 8-2-2 23 9-3-0 I think we need to differentiate between regulation wins vs. 3x3 OT wins, and between regulation losses vs. 3x3 OT losses. Otherwise these are apples-to-oranges comparisons. No. Apples and oranges would be lumping sby abmarks - Hockey

Trotsky Cornell survives the out of town late games to remain 11 in both the CHN and USCHO PWR calculations. The win is also the lead article on both CHN and USCHO. Lead picture, not article. Chn has this annoying habit of leading with a large picture and caption... but theres no article.by abmarks - Hockey

marty Jeff Hopkins '82 According to the Brown website, the penalty was for staying on the ice too long during warmups. It also says that they were one of three ECAC teams assessed that penalty last night. Harvard and Yale were BOTH called for this bench minor. Lol colludaments. You guys wanna have some fun? Re: Tonight on Skate to Survive: Cornell vs Quinnipiac - 1 year ago
Something only Brown could do: They are on the penalty kill from the opening whistle. 2 minute bench minor for a "protocol violation" The announcers aren't sure exactly what brown did, but protocol violations are for things like coming out of the locker room late or not clearing your guys off the ice in a timely manner. For everyone that was complaining about what they felt was an uncreative offense, what about the Bancroft attempt at the Michigan style wraparound lacrosse shot? To actually see the situation makes that shot choice possible in real time is impressive enough; but to actually attempt it takes a set of balls. scoop85 upprdeck Sounds like coach wasnt too happy with the non overturn of the 2nd BU goal.. I would say watching games this yr that goal gets over turn 90% of the time with that contact and the player in the crease during a goal. FWIW, it was a Hockey East officiating crew, so maybe some home cooking Even the homer tv announcers were shocked it wasn't overturned.by abmarks - Hockey

Trotsky BearLoverTransferring without having to sit out a year will remain the rule going forward, but that doesn’t have much to do with the foregoing. It may not be dependent on the COVID-5 rule, but it is critical. If the Ivies hold on to their no grad nonsense, and players can transfer with no year off (as they should), then we are, to use the technical term, fucked harder than a Brown coby abmarks - Hockey

scoop85 arugula Yes they’ve grown more homer-ish over the game. I continue to appreciate that across Cornell sports our announcing teams play it far more down the middle, albeit with a tinge of red. A program the stature of BU should be embarrassed to use such homers. Why? It's a home broadcast. Amy team NOT having some significant degree of homerism is doing it wrong.by abmarks - Hockey

semsox mountainred semsox Perfunctory win over Binghamton, 86-70. I have to admit, I have no idea how to feel about this team. I can still remember the feeling of momentum going into the 2007-2008 year, and we all know how that eventually turned out.
