Re: Guelph @ Cornell, 10/20/2022 - 1 year ago
Dunc dbilmes For what it's worth, Harvard put up a 9-spot against Guelph. Very true, but also at the same time, we got Guelph at there highest rest level while harvard got to play them on there 3rd game in 3 days. Who knows maybe we would have scored 15 had we played them saturday instead True about the rest. But Harvard is absolutely loaded with offensive talent. I'm actually looking forwarby abmarks - Hockey
Re: UConn game at MSG - 1 year ago
Didn't know this. How'd they get this kid? "UConn freshman Matthew Wood is off to a torrid start. In six games, Wood has seven points (3g, 4a). Oh, by the way, he's 17 years old! He won't turn 18 until February. Wood is projected as a top prospect for the 2023 NHL Draft. The Hockey News has him No. 5 overall, and the consensus among most media outlets is that Wood will be a top-20 pick.&qby abmarks - Hockey

Re: Red-White game - 1 year ago
billhoward Good fun, nice warmup before the season. Two 30-minute periods, women played several shifts, then men, wash, rinse, repeat. Big Red Band split up, one group for each team. Same cheers (as in-season) after goals, new meaning here, including "Warm up the bus" and "safety school." Failed the pregame lineup? Not in numerical order...by abmarks - Hockey

Re: Cornell Daily Sun column - 1 year ago
Decent article. Finally, there is the unrivaled sense of school spirit you will find at a Cornell hockey game. There are many other, perhaps better known, college sports programs you may watch on TV. Some that come to mind are large football and basketball programs, such as Ohio State or Alabama Football, or Duke Basketball. While Lynah Rink can only hold a fraction of the spectators that wby abmarks - Hockey
Re: Bag policy - 1 year ago
Rita These bag policies are a main reason why I do not have any desire to go to games at stadiums/arenas, even the local minor league ball park. I'm ALWAYS cold. I need a sweatshirt. My wallet is big - i do not have all my life essentials on my phone. I always carry a bottle of ibuprofen. My Keys are chunky and on a lanyard. I need a purse tote bag for my stuff. it won't all fit into a 1 gallonby abmarks - Hockey
Re: Congress allows Ivy League antitrust exemption to expire - 1 year ago
billhoward I'm still working my way around how, if more affluent families who can pay more of the list price, are admitted, how that substantially disadvantages poorer applicants, because the pot of scholarship money expanded fractionally for each rich kid/needs no aid admitted. I think you are conflating two different issues here. (For discussions sake, let's assume there is a fixed numberby abmarks - Hockey
Re: 2022-23 Men's Schedule - 1 year ago
The Rancor BearLover Trotsky arugula Right that’s the thing I don’t get. You would think MSG would be an incentive. For the teams? Only the east coast ones. For the players? Play in Montreal of Toronto and they'll kill to do it. Only 30% of NCAA hockey players are Canadian. I love that the picture is of Cornell. And I hate it because the picture is of clarksos celebrating a goal...by abmarks - Hockey
