That said, I don't understand how a player like Coronato can make it in the NHL. He took a big hit against Princeton in the ECAC playoffs, afterwards didn't go into the corners or dig. RichH abmarks shafer Scersk '97 Wow, Michigan has zero defensive structure. And 27 frozen four berths Run n gun > lockdown defense if you want to maximize deep runs in college hockey... Cornell has as many titles as Michigan since 1965. I said deep runs, not championships. Probably should have said "maximize the number of deep runs". BearLover Scersk '97 BearLover Quinnipiac has now made the frozen four three times since the last time Cornell did. What a disgrace. And between 1980 and 2003, Harvard made it five times and won a championship. And between 2003 and now, Union made it twice, and Harvard and Yale made it once each, and Yale and Union won championships. George64 upprdeck i wonder if the NIL game will trickle into college hockey or maybe it already has for those bigger schools.. play college make 500K is pretty good for the high level talent. Until I read this article, I hadn’t realized how out-of-hand NIL has become. I think it’s just a matter of time before it filters down to B1G hockey, if it hasn’t already. BearLover Cornell will need to replace the 5 forwards and 3 defensemen graduating (all of whom were everyday players and big contributors). It is easy to find 3 college-ready defensemen among the recruits. I would expect Robertson, Fegaras, and Wolfenberg to contribute immediately. Steele and/or Mosko may also come. For the forwards, it’s not so easy finding 5 players who clearly look college-reaby abmarks - Hockey

BearLover RichH abmarks Michigan showed what you can do when you have a roster full of early round picks. Quality + quantity. Those guys are at an absolutely different level. The wild thing is they were even more stacked with high draft picks / stars last year and still didn’t bring home the flat trophy. Coaching and teamwork/strategy also matters. Trotsky DeSantis nearly pots that one; just a skate save. Solid period. Do it again, please. Desantis had 4 or 5 point blank opportunities where he either whiffed, couldn't get good wood on it or had bad puck luck with the puck bouncing over his stick. I miss that the chants, like "it's all your fault" are not slow and powerful like they used to be. now they are done at near techno speed. Totally kills the echo. Pretty sure ethe blame for this goes to athletics; when section c went to the townies in the late 80s or whenever it was, there was no longer a cheer starter type in lower c to conduct everythingby abmarks - Hockey

Cornell had better hope that a large number of Harvard’s 15 draft picks leave for the pros, and that something happens in the coming years to close the talent gap. This isn’t tenable. billhoward Construction costs go down? Maybe stabilized materials costs after Covid, but tradesman-wages are not going down. Not at the moment, of course. But I'd expect total project bid prices to decrease when there's slack demand for construction. I don't know whether that's simply coming out of profit or from other areas like wages. Thank you According to one of the broadcasts (had both on last night) it is no longer Olympic size. While Cornell never seemed to have a problem with the wide ice I'm glad they renovated the rink. Ken711 Cop at Lynah I actually asked Andy about this project back in June or July and he said the cost of construction had increased to a degree that the project was not viable until the costs came back down I guess I don't understand how are the costs going to come down? billhoward Koll's in his later 50s (his personal NCAA championship year was 1988). He's got a decade to really salt away retirement money. Can't have enough.
