Gave up 1 even strength goal in 4 games and that was all the way back on Nov 3 - our 3rd game of the season, their 6th. We also went 14/15 on the kill, including 3 majors. That's 1 ppg against in 39 minutes of PK, so it's really like goingby Robb - Hockey
Re: Quinnipiac QF - 6 years ago
BearLover Tom_Hamill That third Cornell goal was one of the most offensively perfect things I've ever seen a Cornell team do. Absolute hockey gold. But was Fiegl's bulldozing the Q player legal?Well, a defensive player is allowed to "finish a check" as long as it is very soon after the offensive player gets rid of the puck. That's pretty much what Fiegl did - pass, contact. Bang, banby Robb - Hockey

LGR14 Trotsky LGR14 PSU sells every single one of its games. I'm not sure why all of you think that they won't attend an NCAA regional being hosted on their own campus.Allentown is 175 miles from State College. The same distance as Ithaca. Ah I have been overlooking the "Allentown" part this whole time. I join the calls that it is inane to call PSU (or any team) the "host."by Robb - Hockey

Re: Cornell @ Dartmouth 1/27/18 - 6 years ago
By my calculations, Galajda would tie Scrivens's shutout streak (267:11) at 6 minutes and 37 seconds into the third period tonight, assuming no empty net time due to delayed penalties. And, if you're an optimist, he'd tie Blaine Lacher's NCAA record of 375:01 at 14:21 into the second period of the RPI game at Lynah a week from tonight (assuming no overtime or empty net time between now and thby Robb - Hockey

adamw Tom LentoThe second paragraph suggests the CHN model's lack of updating on KRACH odds could very well be causing some havoc with their predictions. As I allude to in our explainer article on the site, I feel like a valid argument can be made to keep KRACH as a snapshot from when the simulation starts. But I can't articulate the reason very well. On the other hand, I do know that re-calby Robb - Hockey

TimV What on earth is "modern" soccer? Looks like the same ol' game to me. 22 guys mucking around the midfield until one guy in each game manages to put the ball into a goal the size of a boxcar. Unless 2 guys do it - then it's a racehorse scorefest.I saw a recent snark that went something like, "A Canadian soccer player recently set a new record for fastest goal just 35 secondsby Robb - Other Sports

Trotsky jtwcornell91My recollection is that they changed it a few years ago to be like a delayed penalty, where they'd blow the whistle once the possibly-scored-on team had possession.
