Re: Cornell vs. RPI 1/7/23 - 1 year ago
Trotsky Effective special teams are a necessity when we get deep into the tourneys, though, because the great teams will find a way to exploit weakness there, and then that will live in our heads and affect our game style. Our pk is phenomenal even after the 3 goal major pk Saturday. We're 3rd in the country at 90.6% behind only Dartmouth and Ohio State who are tied with 90.9%. Plus we're rby abmarks - Hockey

Trotsky CU2007 So I was thinking during our shoot-out with AIC, is it correct that there is zero impact on PWR/RPI and obviously no standings, so is a non-conference shootout entirely pointless?Yes. Literally no meaning. Just masturbating the non-fans. Not pointless. Was listening to the Vermont radio feed yesterday when they went to a shootout vs. Yale. I think DeSantis may have whiffed on the high stick and then tapped it in from the doorstep but it may have just been a ricochet after Psenicka's shot popped in the air. semsox mountainred semsox Perfunctory win over Binghamton, 86-70. I have to admit, I have no idea how to feel about this team. I can still remember the feeling of momentum going into the 2007-2008 year, and we all know how that eventually turned out. Last year was such an abrupt about face from Earl's previous results, and this year seems to be similarly promising, but is the style too gimmickby abmarks - Other Sports

upprdeck So what was up with the AIC 4 man weave.. several times they played D with just 4 guys and let cornell have at it while the 5th was hanging out at the other blue line..Cornell just kept cycling the puck for 30-45 secs.. They did that multiple times.. Dont recall the last time I saw a team do that consistently. Do you remember what time I'm the game that was? I didn't notice on first viby abmarks - Hockey

marty Apparently slew footing is a thing. I am not a knowledgeable fan of hockey and I hadn't seen this called before the game tonight. osorojo In my opinion the pursuit of excellence in sports is a worthwhile enterprise, and size matters. Bemidji State has an enrollment of 2,800 students, a modest budget, and a D-1 hockey team ranked in 24th place. Cornell Men's varsity hockey is currently ranked in 27th place - up from 34th place. And we now have the reasoning: From ECAC Commish Hagwel I think it’s fair to say that the men’s coaches wanted to retain the format that’s been in existence for the previous 20 years,” Hagwell said. “There’s no question about that. “I think the realities are that are the case,” he later explained. “If a North Country team is going to Princeton, for example, for three games and then tby abmarks - Hockey

RichH Trotsky They need to stop trying to make "Yell Cornell" happen. It's so embarrassing. (I have no idea if this link will work as intended) worked for me.
