Re: Reid Cashman new Dartmouth coach - 3 years ago
Trotsky Cop at Lynah One of the best opponents I've ever seen, ad hopefully won't continue their cementhead ways. Absolutely. Ton of respect for the guy. We even voted him "Most Respected Opponent" in 2007 for TBRW?.by Beeeej - Hockey

RichH Beeeej Alabama-Huntsville drops men's hockey and two other sports. Reports of the Chargers’ demise were premature. As CHN reports that they’re returning for whatever upcoming season exists after an online fundraiser was successful. Definitely a stopgap, and the axe is still hovering, but quite a reversal considering players had already started to commit elsewhere. Huh. Well, good foby Beeeej - Hockey

jkahn With UAH dropping hockey, there's now a way that LIU can get themselves an instant D-1 team. And that former UAH squad with the LIU location would be a good fit for the ACHA. And head coach, for that matter (I think).by Beeeej - Hockey

ugarte i scared the shit out of my infant son when greening scored to tie and my wife was NOT amused There were easily 200 of us at Ship of Fools that night, and the place went absolutely batshit berserk at the tying and winning goals. I like to think that with as many mutual friends as we had, dss28 and I would've eventually met anyway, but without those two goals we certainly wouldn't have boby Beeeej - Hockey
Re: ECAC Early Departures - 4 years ago
Trotsky French Rage Shouldn't anyone with 32 seasons somewhere have the most wins? The quote is misleading, since Gaudet's coaching time is divided between Brown and Dartmouth. Either the 331 wins isn't in 32 years, or the 331 wins isn't the "most in school history." Edit: it's the first one. 93 wins in 9 years at Brown 331 wins in 23 years at Dartmouth That makes a little moreby Beeeej - Hockey

French Rage Shouldn't anyone with 32 seasons somewhere have the most wins? You'd think so. Of course it's not exactly a high bar when you retire with an average of fewer than 11 wins per season; any halfway decent coach who replaces him should have a shot at breaking his record if he sticks around for a while. By way of counter-example, Schafer won his 331st game as Cornell's head coach two gamby Beeeej - Hockey

From Coach Schafer: meeting will take place on Thursday, April 2, at 7:00 PM EST . I’ll be talking about the season past, have a couple of players join us to share some insights from the locker room, and I’ll talk a little bit about expectations for next year. We’ll have plenty of time for Q&A too. If you got the invite, please be sure and register using the link Kasey sent you… you’ll geby Beeeej - Hockey

jtwcornell91 Back in the early aughts, Harvard had a goalie called Dov Grumet-Morris (we usually just called him "hyphen". At the Lynah East game he had a bunch of enthusiastic Cantab groupies who made signs, the most memorable of which read "DO ME DOV". We were so amused by it that when we played them at Lake Placid in 2002, we (a couple of eLFers actually IIRC) made our ownby Beeeej - Hockey

djk26 U-H-N! Anyone remember this from the (gosh I'm old) 2002 NCAAs in Worcester, MA? New Hampshire fans had their "UNH" signs in the wrong order. Oh, yeah, I definitely remember that... Sorry, but I just have to share this tweet, and this thread is as good a place as any. (P.S. This team was amazing, and this season was amazing. I was devastated with each new announcement last week, and I am still barely beginning to recover - I can only imagine how the team and coaches feel.) Swampy ugarte is it going to be btn or btn+? btn+ is carried on flo. The BTN website says Fox Sports carries BTN shows. So if you already have a cable package that gives you Fox Sports, you're probably ahead of the curve. billhoward JasonN95 Bad giveaway by St L late in the 2nd lets Harvard go up 3-2, and St L has to kill about 1:30 of penalty time to start the 3rd. No one at the Union Yale game either. Swampy Hasn't Brown co-hosted in Providence? Harvard, in Boston? RPI, in Albany? And we're talking about the regionals here, not the nationals. Providence College hosted last year. So consider: Providence College Endowment: $234.2 million Students: 4,550 (undergraduates + graduates) Faculty: At 12 students for every instructional faculty member, that's a faculty of 379 members.by Beeeej - Hockey
