Re: 2021-22 Men's Schedule - 3 years ago
French Rage Any chance the @ASU weekend will still be there? Hard to think of it as "still" - it's not like they took the 2020-21 schedule and just slapped "2021-22" on it. You'd have to have the same teams interested in and available for participating in the tournament. Keep in mind also, UNO is actually playing this season, though I'm not exactly sure what impact that woulby Beeeej - Hockey
Re: Coaching endowments - 3 years ago
Weder I noticed that at some point since the end of last season Doug Derraugh became the Everett Family Head Coach of Women's Hockey. Are those endowments supposed to cover a portion or all of the coach's salary, or does it vary from endowment to endowment? Mike Schafer's position has been endowed for some time now, I believe. It tends to vary from endowment to endowment, but the general aim isby Beeeej - Hockey
Re: Greatest Game? - 3 years ago
osorojo What was the best Cornell Men's Varsity Ice Hockey game you ever attended? If we're limiting it to in-person attendance, it's a close call. The 2003 ECAC championship game against Hahvahd is up there, but has been soured for me somewhat by intervening circumstances. The comeback against Brown on Nov. 8, 1997 where we were down 3-1 with just over 4 minutes to go, then came back to win 4-by Beeeej - Hockey

upprdeck that 2 game playoff weekend vs Colgate that we scored like a million goals. Did you mean March 1-2, 1991 - Cornell 10-3, Cornell 8-1? Or did you mean March 8-9, 1996 - Cornell 8-3, Cornell 8-1 (a.k.a. "We want Weder!" )? Both weekends were pretty fantastic...by Beeeej - Hockey
Re: Grad transfers - 3 years ago
Dafatone Is there any reason for allowing grad transfers to play in new locations but not their undergrad school? The Ivies don't give you the same five-year span to use your four years of eligibility; you have to use them in your first four unless one's a medical redshirt, and even those are rare exceptions for which you have to apply.by Beeeej - Hockey

upprdeck most people wont take vaccines because they dont want the virus in them.. this stuff is not that and given information many may realize the issues are different. You've still got a shockingly significant population who believe it's part of a Gates Foundation effort to microchip all Americans. Telling them the vaccine doesn't actually contain the virus probably isn't going to move themby Beeeej - Hockey

pfibiger Beeeej Troyfan A major league manager going to the minors? What's the history? What's the perception? Dealing with men is different from dealing with boys. NFL drafting is a world apart from college recruiting. No guarantees I can see one way or the other. More akin to a major league pitching coach going to the minors as a manager. Dafatone Looks like I get to be the only person here rooting for us to be placed in Sioux Falls. Frankly, if we don't stay east, Sioux Falls vs. Loveland is kinda six of one, half a dozen of the other to me. Other than the whole "no direct flights" thing, anyway.by Beeeej - Hockey

Swampy Beeeej Swampy Jim Hyla I'm back. Not to arbitrarily pull us back to virus testing, but since I was mentioned, I'll try and explain this as much as I know it. As noted Jeff got an antibody test, which says nothing about current infection. It just means that you've had exposure to the virus, or part of the virus if you're dealing with immunization, and your immune system has reacted by maby Beeeej - Hockey

Re: Collegetown Bagels to move, not close - 3 years ago
David Harding A Cornell Sun reviewers pans CTB bagels. CTB’s main business relies on pedaling a product that relies on sentimentality, and not pure quality. In short, people don’t buy these bagels for their outstanding taste or texture, but to relieve the experiences that they’ve had at CTB. ... abmarks It's official; 3 on 3 and shootouts. Spinorama is verboten though. The one change I do like though is the ability to pick which face off dot you want to take the draw in after the other team ices it. Ugh... 3-on-3 to decide a game is moronic. And who the hell complained about the requirement to shake hands after a game (or multi-game playoff series)? If all the other rulesby Beeeej - Hockey

Scersk '97 jtwcornell91 Dafatone Trotsky Jesus fuck. Just have a wet t-shirt contest. My money's on Mike. 3 on 3 is entertaining. Like, I'd watch some sort of 3 on 3 hockey league.
