Not sure it belongs in this piece of the forums here, but here goes!

I mostly read the site on my phone (Android OS / chrome browser ) And have noticed there are a few foreign features that don't show up when you aren't browsing with the desktop mode enabled for that page in the browser.

I'm sure it's a lot of work to get mobile compatibility for a whole bunch of features... However if we could just get the button for the "last" post that'd be great. Super annoying if one wants to go to the end but there are no new items to read.
Just an itty bitty request.

(Please carry on before bearlover cites an obscure newfangled UX statistic on the subject, upprdeck drops a response without grammar edits, and osorojo bemoans the lack of grit and emotion in my post ;-) )

P. S. When first trying to post this, I got a DB error. Thought it was due to typing in an emoji from my android keyboard, but maybe not. Deleted the emoji and then hit post again, and it seems to have gone through now without the emoji.

It's a pain but most Android browsers have a "Use Desktop Site" setting which shrinks the print to a great degree. But it does then show the last post and makes using emojis easy.

Otherwise you have to memorize the emoji name such as " yark "

And the put the name between two colons to the left and two to the right. No bathroom humor, just the facts

yark

i have not wanted to be a burden but i second this itty bitty request. when threads get long and there are 20 or more mobile pages, jumping forward 3 or 4 at a time rather than flipping to the end is not tragic or difficult but it also is tedious.

I know this doesn't help the OP, but on iOS devices you can tap the AA in the url bar and use "Website Settings" to select always "Request Desktop Website." That has made ELF browsing much more enjoyable when I'm on my phone.

Am I the only one who sees the title of this thread and thinks "Elf on a Shelf"?

this is MY ELF, and she IS on my phone:.

Eden the Elf is all HOUND. What kinds of hound depends on the DNA Test.

Wisdom Panel says:
50% Beagle
25% Treeing walker coonhound
25% blue tick coonhound.

Embark Panel (developed at Cornell) says:
35% Black and Tan Coonhound
24% Beagle
16% Treeing Walker Coonhound
15% Redbone Coonhound
10% American Foxhound

Eden is very good at Scentwork (odor detection) and has many titles with placements! Her human needs to practice with her more on her tracking skills (man / woman trailing).
My apologies for the thread drift. FWIW Eden the Elf listens to the Cornell games with me every weekend :)

We used to do that, until we ended up with 6 rescued cats and 1 dog (mine:-))

They are still family members.

My cat spends more time in my home than I do, so definitely a family member.

Same - it's been years since our cats used the Lynah season tickets.

Nope. Gambling addiction. Long story.

I, too, would love a jump to last post link on the mobile version. If it’ll help make that happen, I’ll mention that I’m sure my pets would appreciate it as well.

i have desktop mode availability. But not only does that take extra clicks, it also makes the text sizing wack requiring constant scrolling or zooming.
