I had one of those "close all the tabs and hope I didn't see that" moments. Yeah, let's not have threads with player names as their title.by BMac - Hockey

Loving the Russian flag. Did they do the anthem?by BMac - Hockey

Re: Brown - 10 years ago
Yeah, ugarte, it's amazingly empty. I hope the band makes it this year! It's a fun time for us Boston people- only 30 min on the commuter rail to Providence.by BMac - Hockey

Re: Lynah Faithful Dog - remote control goalie cheer - 10 years ago
That's the most amusing use of the remote control goalie thing I've ever witnessed, save for the Chicken Dance Incident. That dude was amazing.by BMac - Hockey
Re: Red Hot Hockey - post-game - 10 years ago
From Adam's writeup on CHN: Adam Wodon (on CHN) "For whatever reason, a lot of the passes that went to the seam, our guys refused to shoot one-timers and force it to the net," Schafer said. "It's almost like they were looking to be perfect and they just refused to (shoot). And when they start doing that, they hesitate too much. ... But their goaltender played well, we hit a coupby BMac - Hockey
Re: Red Hot Hockey - future of series - 10 years ago
Don't worry about the celebrity thing- it's kind of how we don't "do" commercials about our school. Dryden was in the building. We just don't scream about it.by BMac - Hockey
Re: Cornell 4 - Niagara 2 - 10 years ago
Wikipedia has a very small entry on this. NCAA Damian Rhodes was credited with a goal while playing with Michigan Technological University Chad Alban, Michigan State University goalie, scored an empty-net goal against Ferris State on February 28, 1998. Alban is credited as the only goalie in NCAA history to shoot the puck themselves and score a goal. Shanley Peters was credited with aby BMac - Hockey
Cornell 4 - Niagara 2 - 10 years ago
First goal Wilcox on a 4-on-4. Niagara is playing well. We almost score on a PP starting the second. Crowd quiet, from what I can hear off the feed. Edit: FERLIN!!! Beautiful pp goal. We set up, cycled nicely for 30 sec and have him a great look. And Niagara ties on a bs diving call against cole bardreau P McCarron! First career goal, beautiful shot on a 4-on-3 PP. Aaaaaand aby BMac - Hockey

Hey, Where's that picture from? I think I recognize some familiar faces- I'd love to find it in higher definition, if it's there...by BMac - Hockey

REALLY interesting. Loved this chart. What the hell is Notre Dame feeding their kids?! (Or do they have a gigantic 300-lb dude?)by BMac - Hockey
Re: 11/2 Quinnipiac - 10 years ago
Proposed first step for a fix: make the Harvard game GA. You need a ticket to get in, but you can sit anywhere- that isn't full. Start the tradition of showing up early at that game, move on from there.by BMac - Hockey
Re: Top Ten Band Playlist of All Time - 10 years ago
Unbelievably, I forgot 25 or 6 to 4. Adjusted rankings: 1. Pinball Wizard 1A. 25 or 6 to 4 2. Jungle Love 3. Schafer Beer Song (large gap) 4. Paradise City 5. Espana 6. Sir Dukeby BMac - Hockey
Re: MSG - 10 years ago
When I saw a post by ACM about MSG, I was hoping to read "I'll be doing the PA announcing at MSG this year..." One of the things I miss about only seeing away games since graduating is ACM's announcing. So please ask nicely if they'll let you? Plus you get to ham it up a *little* bit with: "Good eveniiiiing hockey fans. Welcome to Madison Square Garden- The Most Famous Arenaby BMac - Hockey

Cornell Lacrosse Fall Season Cancelled (Hazing) - 10 years ago
Um.... wow. For those of us who don't follow, how important is the "fall season?"by BMac - Other Sports
Re: Tim Taylor Dies - 10 years ago
I like Charlie Pierce. If you read NBA coverage: Zack Smith at Grantland is fantastic- consistently bringing insight in his pieces. John Hollinger has always been good at using numbers rather than his opinion- unfortunately too good, he doesn't write anymore and got picked up by the Grizzlies. There was another guy at ESPN who wrote about the NBA and was good, can't recall his name.by BMac - Hockey
