Re: [OT] Clemens to Astros - 20 years ago
Pettite, Clemens...on the same team again......at least it's in the NL this time. Although I do think it will be fun when he comes to town to play the Mets--they better let him play.....by Robin - Hockey
Re: Cornell at Harvard SRO Tickets On Sale This Morning at 10 AM - 20 years ago
someone should call, say they are an undergrad, and are wondering if there will be any tix avail for undergrads to go see Harvard hockey, since that is what you came to Harvard for after all!by Robin - Hockey
Re: Lynah East Roll Call - 20 years ago
couple c ornell fans will be in section 23. I will be in Section 20 or 19 down in front... Doc Robinby Robin - Hockey
Re: New Year's Game: Springfield at Hartford--Go Lenny! - 20 years ago
Included in the article: "They may have defied logic by allowing more than 50 shots for the second time in three games, but the Springfield Falcons found an answer to their goal-scoring woes and rode an incredible goaltending performance from David LeNeveu to earn an improbable victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack."by Robin - Hockey
Re: Brown v Pats - 20 years ago
I am still hoping to attend at least a good part of the Cornell/Brown game....however, it is people I know who were planning on going that are starting to bail...by Robin - Hockey
Brown v Pats - 20 years ago
Unfortunately the Pats game is at 8:15pm the evening of Cornell hockey at Brown....what are Boston/New England area folks doing? Anyone interested in going to at least part of the Brown game and then chilling at a bar/pub in Providence to watch the football game? Robinby Robin - Hockey
Mad Props - 20 years ago
Mad props to CU hockey this weekend! First of all, Lenny was amazing. A group of us went to watch Lenny in goal against the Woostah Icecats. He played beautifully. 33 saves , only one goal given up, while Spfld only had 18 shots on goal. Final score 2-1 Spfld. Lenny carried them to victory after fighting off 33 shots. GO LENNY! And of course, Cornell hockey wins the Everblades tourney in Fby Robin - Hockey
Re: Everblades in Boston - 20 years ago
If you go to a place with a number of different screens, they shouldn't have a huge hangup about having one TV on college hockey. I went to Champs in Indy and asked for one of the playoff games last year, as well as a Sox v. Yankees game wth Roger pitching and they did not care.....but perhaps being female helped.....by Robin - Hockey
Re: [AHL] Falcons @ Wolfpack - Sat Dec. 20 - 20 years ago
The Spfld Falcons are coming to Worcester, MA, to play the IceCats this Sunday the 28th, at 4pm I believe....in case anyone is interested. A few of us are planning on being there. Happy Holidays to all! Robinby Robin - Hockey
Spfld Falcons - 20 years ago
For anyone who is interested (ie Boston-type folks), the Springfield Falcons (Lenny and Pelletier) are playing the Worcester Ice Cats at the Worcester Centrum tomorrow-Friday Nov 28--at 7pm. I will prob be out of town, but just thought I'd put it out there for anyone who is around and interested. Robinby Robin - Hockey

Re: Hahvahd - 20 years ago
My uncle, harvard undergrad and law alum, called to get tix this AM. They told him they had to call him back because 'the computer' was down. He got a call back and said that tickets were sold out yesterday afternoon. Surprising considering they were only selling to Harvard affiliated people. Any idea on how one can get tickets to this game? I can probably get one for myself, but have not beby Robin - Hockey
Re: Hahvahd - 20 years ago
btw, what section(s) at Lynah East should we be asking for?by Robin - Hockey
Hahvahd - 20 years ago
anyone affiliated with Harvard Sucks can purchase tickets to the Cornell hockey game.....they apparently do check the alumni directory (what do they have it on computer or something) tho.by Robin - Hockey
Re: Article - 20 years ago
If anyone in eastern Mass (or elsewhere) is interested, the Falcons come to Worcester on Nov28 and Dec 28. Too bad those two games fall right around holidays....however, they also come to Worcester Jan 14,March 7.........right across the street from where I work. Robinby Robin - Hockey
Re: Article cont. - 20 years ago
continued.... "It's definitely a step up from Division I to the AHL," LeNeveu said. "The players here are faster and more skilled. They know how to get in position for good shots. I like it that way. Any goaltender will tell you it's better to face 30 shots than 13, because you get into a good rhythm that way." Coach said he respects the work ethic and the individual styby Robin - Hockey

Re: New policy for Cornell at Harvard tickets - 20 years ago
what if we know a Harvard alum? Do they need to buy the package too? (sorry if that was already addressed) Robinby Robin - Hockey
Re: FF4 '04 - 20 years ago
hmmmph. Well, I'm one of the sorry you were not chosen individuals. I'll get tickets I'm sure. It's in Boston, which is now 45 min from me, so I may want to go regardless of who is playing. So, keep me in mind if you are later trying to unload Robin "maybe I should have used my Indy address, and not a Mass one"by Robin - Hockey
