Not sure if this topic was already addressed......but did anyone out there get tickets to the Frozen Four '04 in Boston via the lottery?

I received a postcard from the Fleet Center yesterday saying that my ticket order was selected in the lottery and that the tickets will be mailed by 3/12/04. Now we just have to hope that the team is "invited."

Yup. I'll be there.

As evidenced by the fact that my initial thought was "isn't the 3rd of December going to be a bit late to get the tickets?", I'm still in Europe, so I haven't seen the postcard, but they billed my credit card a few weeks back, which this year apparently means I'm in. Plus the F4 occurs during Loyola's Easter Vacation next year, so I'll be there. Here's hoping I'll also be fuzzy again.

I've never applied before, and I received a "Congratulations!" postcard a few days ago. Of course, it wasn't on last month's credit card statement, so it could still be an error or a cruel joke.

hmmmph. Well, I'm one of the sorry you were not chosen individuals. I'll get tickets I'm sure. It's in Boston, which is now 45 min from me, so I may want to go regardless of who is playing. So, keep me in mind if you are later trying to unload

So, since there are at least a few of you who got them, someone will hook me up with a set, right?

I received a nice little post card from the Fleet Center saying sorry, but you lose.
I'll also be in the market for a strip of tix.

I'll be in the market also - but if this year taught anything it was that tickets are around. Of course playing in Boston might change that a little, but not if I wish hard enough. Right?

I suspect that anyone who seriously tries, keeps their eyes open, and has contacts around college hockey fandom will be able to find tickets before February. It worked for me last year. (And then I got tickets through the supplemental lottery, which will probably also be a possibility this year.)

Agree.

I suspect the primary difference will be in the availability of on-site tickets in Boston vs. Buffalo. With many Cornell and Michigan fans no longer interested, many more seats were available on the street for the championship game than there were local takers in Buffalo--driving prices quite low. That is likely not going to be the case in Boston, particularly if some combination of BU, BC, UNH, and Maine gets to the Final Four. Compounding the problem is the fact that the absolute number of college hockey fans in Boston is much higher than in Buffalo, so demand on the street will be greater even if one's favorite team is not playing.

I have a feeling there will be plenty of tickets available outside the Fleetcenter. There are always tickets for everything in Boston at show time/gametime. Then there are those that hawk tickets for a living. There were plenty of tickets available for the Beanpot, and that always sells out fast.

Well, yeah. But I (and I think the rest of us) mean tickets at face value.

My impression from the BC-Michigan finals at the FleetCenter was that tickets were not-so-easy to get on the street.

One of my friends claims to have paid over $100 in 98 to see that final!

Well, ok, but beggars can't always be choosers. Something tells me if Cornell is in the final or even the semifinal, and you are at the Fleetcenter and don't have tickets, you'd be willing to pay more than face value to get in.

FYI, both myself and my parents entered... only my parents got them though . Guess I'll be leeching off of them for the next few years w/ their priority level, until, of course, I manage to get lucky myself.
