I apologize for the last minute notice, but...
Wednesday, December 31: Puck drops at 4:05.
Anyone interested in going? ...To wish Lenny and JMP a Happy New Year, of course.

Highly doubtful my wife will want to attend as she's in surgery right now, but hey, you never know....

John, I hope nothing serious. Best wishes for her speedy recovery. Will we see you at Brown?

Yes, I hope she's all right. Healthy New Year to you both (and to all).

Lenny put on a show in this one. He stopped 55 of 56 shots en route to a 4-1 victory.

I ended up going to the game at the last minute... another thing that was interesting about the game was that in addition to Lenny stopping 55 of 56 shots, Springfield seemed to take a majority of the penalties. Are they raising a team of enforcers and simply relying on Lenny and JMP to save them? Last I checked they were in last place...
I don't know what the game spoke more to: Springfield's lacking defense, or Lenny's pure ability.

ps -- the Wolfpack had somewhere around 21 shots on goal... I don't remember the exact number.

Included in the article:
"They may have defied logic by allowing more than 50 shots for the second time in three games, but the Springfield Falcons found an answer to their goal-scoring woes and rode an incredible goaltending performance from David LeNeveu to earn an improbable victory over the Hartford Wolf Pack."

According to Springfield's coach: "Our defense is the strength of this team."

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the coach's idea of a good defense can't compare to Cornell's defense last year.
