munchkin So in hockey line senior year Hockeychick and I had a tv with which we watched Mystery, Alaska, Slapshot, and the Mighty Ducks movies. And I'm not one to turn off Mighty Ducks if I see it on. But we all know that's the real reason you have Disney, it's not for the kids. Maybe if you weren't so busy watching all those hockey movies you'd know a Hudsucker Proxy line when you saw it.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Larry72 In the 2003 Frozen Four semi-final game against UHN, Shane Palahicky scored the first goal during the first period on a shot deflection. The "ref" waived the goal off saying that Shane deflected the puck with a high stick. The "ref" was incorrect according to all the replays that followed that showed Shane's stick below the cross-bar as it deflected the puck. UHN weby Greenberg '97 - Hockey

munchkin Just got an e-mail from Jeff. If anyone wants a large size shirt: ie 3XL or 4XL contact him directly at jeff@pspunlimited.com and he will accommodate selling directly from PSP to you. He's gotten several requests for them. I was hoping for the other end of the spectrum. Think 18-24by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: UNH Pregame Thread (RIT and Denver too) - 14 years ago
sockralex mnagowski Um, why does everybody misspell UNH? Yeah, it's a long story that involves their own fans' inability to put their U-H-N signs in correct order. The story ends with them sucking and not deserving respect when being discussed in pregame discussion. Somewhere in the middle of the story is the tale of a goal that was waved off on a "high stick" that was clearly at wby Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
billhoward RichH billhoward Go, Brick City! Newark? Sorry. You'd know this if you grew up in Rochester, otherwise, HUGARA. RIT is called Brick City. Every freaking building on campus (one or two exceptions now) is clad in RIT Orange (it's trademarked) brick. 14 million at last count, including the pavers. More bricks than anyplace except the Great Wall. It benefits a lot from vines IMO. (by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: Ithaca Journal screws up the story - 14 years ago
profudge The same for me, Ordered 5 around 11:00 AM Yesterday and at my Door at 3 PM today - (I'm only 23 miles south of Ithaca). They Were shipped UPS 2 day express for the normal shipping fee. Great job - everyone! Hmm.... good thing I spent that extra $20.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: The Sweet Sixteen - 14 years ago
billhoward And the pendulum swing will be even faster should Cornell fall by a big margin in whatever game is the final one. Actually, I give them a pretty good shot against Northern Iowa.by Greenberg '97 - Other Sports

Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
ugarte After rooting really hard for Bemidji last year I think I'll be a bit more restrained. Be careful what you wish for and all that. Excellent point. I'll just root for fights and multiple suspensions. I was actually thinking of the geographic proximity and rabid fan base angles, not the easy opponent angle. Anyone who made the tournament, by AQ or otherwise, is not an easy opponent.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
judy So for those of us who didn't go with express shipping, is regular shipping UPS ground? No idea. I figured express gave me the best chance of getting them by tomorrow, plus I have this disposable wad of $20 bills that I like to throw Cornell's way whenever possible. I didn't receive any tracking information, so I was shocked when I heard they were delivered this morning. Maybe you'llby Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: Albany Roll Call II: Electric Boogaloo (NCAA Regionals) - 14 years ago
Beeeej audreybb I'll be there Saturday (with a RIT alum as well). Any plans for a pre-game get-together? Anyone know a good nearby bar? The best pregame gettogether I know of will be the Denver/RIT game. I probably won't make it there in time, though. So we're all in agreement, we're RIT fans for one day, right?by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
ESPNU now on Cablevision - 14 years ago
I thought this was worth its own thread, for those who are caught in Cablevision's grasp and can't make it to Albany (or any other regional for that matter). 794 is now ESPNU-HD, 144 is standard. Already being discussed in the TV thread, above.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

billhoward Might the women's team have groupies, too? I covered them for The Sun for two years. I was the closest thing to a groupie they had.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Brian Sullivan David Harding I have e-mailed the writer pointing out that she missed the most interesting angle of the story and referring her to this thread. As did I, actually. It's the speed and the viral nature of the process that has me so fascinated! And speaking of speed and viral nature... my shirts arrived THIS MORNING by UPS next day air. My wife says they look great. Our tickets arby Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Well that settles it, then. Cornell has to win this weekend, for the sake of munchkin's (et al) efforts.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Jim Hyla When I ordered I had a wrong expiration month, they called me at mid-afternoon and when I gave them my number, they said the truck was there right then and taking all AM orders. You can hope. Yep, I can hope. Hope for reason to wear it in Detroit. Did you get a UPS shipment email?by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

nr53 What sort of shipping did you use? I bought some this morning too but I haven't gotten any notice yet. Same here, and I paid for express shipping.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey

Re: 2010 NCAA hockey regional ticket situation - 14 years ago
Four all-session seats in Section 120, Row L are available for cost at Stubhub (price gets slightly higher when you compare their fees and shipping to Albany's fees). These must be from the same seller I used, probably adjacent to mine (toddler warning!). Anyway, you may be cutting it close with shipping. Mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow, but I ordered yesterday. Just putting it outby Greenberg '97 - Hockey

mnagowski The entire approval process took less than 2.5 hours for the administration to sign on with it. Take that, Big Red Tape! This involves money coming IN. I'm surprised it took as long as it did.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
Re: Dream-Crushing, Soul-Devouring Juggernaut Shirts - 14 years ago
munchkin There is now an order form in the top message as well. Fill it out, and I'll let you know how much you owe once that is determined. Am I missing something? I don't see the order form.by Greenberg '97 - Hockey
