Age, I tried to log out and create a new account, but the "register" page isn't working. - Avash p.s. If it isn't a hassle to change my previous posts back to Avash '05, then that would be great. If it's problematic whatsoever, don't worry about it. Thanks.by Section A - Hockey

A transaction from the ECHL's Alaska Aces: Delete Denis Ladouceur, F transferred from the 7-day IR to the 30-day IR No idea where LeNeveu has been lately. He didn't play in tonight's game against Albany. Meanwhile, Zac Bierk and backup Scott Dickie combined to allow 7 goals in a 7-1 loss. I'd have to think Lenny will play Friday night against Portland after that performance, but if not, that mby Section A - Hockey

Re: Final Standings - 20 years ago
who missed the Friday game for Cornell? Cam Abbott and Charlie Cook. Plus, Moulson was given a game misconduct early in the 2nd, thus missing the majority of the game, and Bitz was given a game misconduct 5 minutes or so into the third. Post Edited (03-01-04 20:48)by Section A - Hockey

you're a H-O-Eeeee sounded a lot like you know whom, but anyway.... Kate's doing juuuuuuuuust fine for herself I always wondered, though, why call her Kate when (as far as I understand it) that's not her real first name? Post Edited (03-01-04 20:30)by Section A - Hockey

ECAC weekly awards, March 1 - 20 years ago
Well 2 out of 3 ain't bad, especially since the one I was wrong about was Rookie of the Week, which went to David McKee, yet again, this week (Player of the Week - Kevin Croxton, RPI) (Goaltender of the Week - Nathan Marsters, RPI)by Section A - Hockey

Re: playoffs - 20 years ago
Would it be helpful to play say RPI in the quarters Not possible, since we play the 2nd worst team coming out of the first round, and RPI, if they to win, would automatically play at Dartmouth no matter what. Post Edited (03-01-04 19:01)by Section A - Hockey

who has the most shutouts plus one-goal games this year? I posted this before this past weekend: ....so add 1 to Brown and 2 to Cornell.by Section A - Hockey

Re: Final Standings - 20 years ago
It is nice though, that with our #2 seed, we can delay meetings with #5 RPI and/or #1 Colgate, allowing for possible upsets along the way. After all, going into the playoffs, RPI is on fire after scoring 11 goals this weekend and allowing only 1. In fact, it's possible that, after their strong weekend, they'll sweep this week's ECAC awards: Goaltender of the Week - Marsters, 65 saves on 66 shots,by Section A - Hockey
Red Line meeting, Monday 3/1 - 20 years ago
meeting today at 5pm. Somewhere in Goldwin Smith I'm guessing (Age? Justin? Ari? Anyone? Any ideas?). Assume it's Kaufmann Auditorium, and if it's not, there'll be a note on the door redirecting you to a different room. If you haven't been to a meeting yet, you should come. Membership is, of course, free. The goal here is to get as many people involved as possibleby Section A - Hockey

Anyone know how much, if any, of the ECAC tournament will be on TV? I know the Final Four in Albany will be on CSTV. Is that it though?by Section A - Hockey

Also, someone I don't usually mention - Travis Bell is having a great season for the Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs of the CHL. He has played in all 55 games this season, had 5 goals and 11 assists, and leads defensemen in plus/minus with a +25. He has helped lead the Mudbugs to 78 points this season (with 9 regular season games to go), the second best record in the CHL. (side note: the best recorby Section A - Hockey

Interesting things going on with the goalie situation in Springfield this week. With LeNeveu getting all of the starts since Pelletier was called up to Phoenix, the Falcons cut goalie Scott Dickie on the 23rd, only to add him to the roster again on the 28th. Meanwhile, Shawn Conschafter, who I believe played his college career at Vermont, had a try out but was cut. THEN, yesterday, just hours befby Section A - Hockey
Re: Mulling over the TBRW Awards - 20 years ago
I've been thinking about changing my MVP pick from Vesce to McKee. Haven't decided yet; there's a good argument either way. Starting to lean towards McKee though....let's see what happens tonight, in the biggest game of the season.... What I don't understand is how Underhill went from the Calgary organization to Boston to LA to Chicago . Is it because he never signed a contract with Calgary, or if he did, it expired, so he's just able to go from team to team like this?by Section A - Hockey
Re: Cornell alumni in the pros: Feb 2004 - 20 years ago
Tonight, the Springfield Falcons scored 2 goals late in the third period and then scored in overtime to win 4-3 over Hartford. LeNeveu had 29 saves on 32 shots in the win. Stephen Bâby had an assist on Wednesday night in a 4-1 win over Utah and scored a goal tonight in a 4-2 loss to Grand Rapids.by Section A - Hockey

After seeing, in person or on TV, 20 of our 27 games this season.... + Peter Natyshak Award, Career Improvement: I've only been watching Cornell hockey games since the current junior class were freshmen, and so I'd give this to Mike Iggulden, despite the fact that he isn't a senior. He's worked his way back into the lineup following injury and is one of the best penalty-killers on our team. (Sby Section A - Hockey

McKee is going to lead the nation in shutouts and almost-shutouts. I was wondering about this too, SO...I decided to look it up . And it's not actually true if we're assuming an "almost-shutout" to be 1 GA. Here's the ranking of teams with the most shutouts + almost shutouts, along with number of games played, and record in the games in question: 1. Boston College: 16 (32 GP, 15by Section A - Hockey
Re: Panoramic Photos of a Full Lynah? - 20 years ago
The problem with trying to do this at a crowded game, with players on the ice, is that it takes at least 1/2 a second to compose and shoot each exposure, which means that people will have moved. As a result, there tend to be artifacts, such as the appearance of having too many players, or people's bodies getting cut in half. Unless it's done when no one is moving? Perhaps as they're lining up (oby Section A - Hockey

Mark McRae and Sam Paolini both had assists in their games tonight, but unfortunately, both of their teams (Florence and Atlantic City, respectively) lost. As for where I found that Wieckowski is no longer with Long Beach: The roster of the Alaska Aces on the ECHL website (echl.com) has the dreaded X by his name... Far above Cayuga's waters, there's an awful smell... Some say it's Cayuga's waters, some say it's Cornell! Some drunk moron at Colgate decided to scream this at me after Colgate won the game up in Hamilton. But trust me - he only made himself look like an idiot....by Section A - Hockey
