Here goes.
SLU over Hvd
Q over 'gate
D'mth over Yale
No sense in listing, but CU over cu

Yeah, two upsets. I think all the games could be good, especially after what happenned this weekend. Q has been playing well. They have a good group of underclassmen, who may be OK by now, and have already won on the road. Likewise SLU really took it to Brwn. Those games only close due to goaltending. I don't think Hvd's De will hold them back. I thought about picking Yale as I think they also have a chance, but two upsets are enough.

Dartmouth over Yale
'Gate over Q
CCT over CU (What kind of fan would I be to pick otherwise?)
SLU over Harvard

Two upsets?  You bet.  With the kind of parity this league has shown all year, upsets are definitely not out of the question at all.

Ya know, there's an official contest like this with scoring and everything on USCHO. And hey, I'm leading after the first round! ;)

But let me give my warmup picks on here with no pressure:

#1 Dartmouth over #11 Yale, 2-0 - making up for last year, and Yale may show some effects from Saturday
#2 Colgate over #10 Q, 2-1 - not sure if this will be 2 or 3 games. Q is better than they look in the standings, but 'Gate at Starr will be tough
#3 Cornell over #8 Clarkson, 2-0 - trying not be biased, but with rest and healing, I think we may just be ready to click. And its at Lynah of course.
#4 Harvard over #5 SLU, 2-0 - hey, its Harvard on another late season tear, its the playoffs, and SLU didn't look so great this weekend (or for the last several weeks),and played 3+ games. Biggest question is if SLU will get a game or not.

Prior to this weekend I would have had this as a push, but Pesony was so horrible against Brown that Harvard may have lucked into the "right place at the right time."

I hear that SLU and Trevelyan in particular are reeling a lot more than they thought they would be without John Zeiler.

After putting the jinx on Union (again) in the 1st round I hope to do more damage to the Mellow Yellow Knights this week....

Dartmouth over Yale 2-0
'Gate over Q 2-1 - Dechanich the difference
Cornell over Tech 2-0
Harvard over SLU 2-1

All favorites in this round.

dargason

Da Mouth over Yale 2-0
'Gate over Quinni 2-1
Cornell over CCT 2-1
Harvard over SLU 2-0

I agree...all favorites, though I think we'll have the toughest time with it.  SLU was a lucky bounce away from losing to Brown at home...Harvard's gonna smoke 'em.
