Good win all around. Finding form this weekend was pretty crucial to regaining some confidence. Great to see the freshman Pearson score early, and more icetime for the third liners. Next weekend is away at Brown and Yale. Go Big Red!

Scanning through the first few games of the Women's U18 Worlds:
Fall '26 commit Jillian McLaughlin (F) has a goal and an assist for the U.S. through 2 games
Fall '27 commit Tereza Gildainova (F) has 2G, 1A in 2 games for the Czechs
Fall '27 commit Aurora Matt (D) was +3 in Canada's first game

Turned on the game and we're up 1-0 on Brown halfway through the first.

Down 2-1 at Yale almost halfway through.  Yale gray uniforms are really sharp imo.

I don't love them, but the contrast with the Cornell sweaters is striking in a good way.

The Daily Gripe: Why the hell does the men's team have the NCAA playoffs in its schedule (both on the website and the Google calendar), but the women's team doesn't? I had to go dumpster diving on the internet for a solid 10 minutes to figure out when the women's playoffs are going to be. Make it equal, damn.

The men's lacrosse team does not have the Ivy Tournament on its schedule but the women's team does.  Neither baseball nor softball include the Ivy Tournament.  I suspect that Coach Derraugh and/or the team may prefer not to have a post-season series listed on their schedule until they actually qualify to play in that series.

I found it easily enough:

https://www.collegehockeyinc.com/womens-conference-tournaments/

"Format: The ECAC Playoffs get underway Feb. 20 or 21 with a single-elimination first round of seeds five through eight hosting seeds nine through 12. The winners advance to the league's best-of-three quarterfinals, hosted Feb. 27-March 1 by the highest-remaining seeds.

Beginning this year, championship weekend will take place in Lake Placid, N.Y., with the semifinals on March 6 and the title game on March 7."

Aye, I believe I found the same. But it's annoying that it's not on the schedule already... like, I'd get it if neither team had it, but one and not the other is weird.

I mean - even so, they'd autoqualify for the ECAC play-in rounds at least, no?

I hear you. But putting faith in the Cornell Athletics website to be a stellar and hell ... dare we say consistent resource is a bit of a leap.

I hate missing the 32.

Just scurried in as lineups were being announced. Am I a fake fan?

In other news, the band showed UP tonight, holy moly.

They're also louder than I remember... maybe an acoustic thing?

The ladies behind me are talking about Katie Chan lighting it up in the PWHL 🥹

(And okay, the TOI doesn't really hold up there, but... still!)
