Snowball

Early in the season and already so much to love:

Cournoyer, Cournoyer, Cournoyer
Thank heavens Casey speaks French — those stretch passes are basically love letters en français. His first Cornell assist is coming; the hockey gods just need a minute.

Wallace–Devlin–Catalano
651 pounds of certified Boy-Meat. The moment they hit the ice, Yale should file a safety report.

Ryan
Gets the puck to the net like it owes him money. So good to see him get rewarded. Freshman with the most skill? I'm not saying it...

DiGuilian
A natural-born scorer. Goalie rebounds in front of him are basically malpractice.

Pirtle
One assist in three games, but he skates and passes like a man who has a prophecy to fulfill.

Aston and Fischer: Yes.

Veilleux
Ridiculously skilled. Leading the team in blocks, gets the puck to the net, occasionally throwing in a baby-freshman "oops"... but he's going to be big. Again: merci, Casey, for mastering the Frog tongue

Castagna
Looks incredible. Even if he were skating backward wearing someone else's jersey, you'd still know it's him.

Fegaras
Now that he's healthy? New man. Like someone put him through a hockey-enhancement car wash.

Stanley
Indestructible. If the rink collapsed, he'd skate out of the rubble and finish his shift.

O'Brien
Just solid. Like if "reliable defender" were a human being.

Major
We all know the dynamo he is. Let's get him back on the ice and causing problems for goalies.

Walsh
Captain O'Captain. Step forth and simply... be Walsh.

More players to mention? Anyone?

Let's Go Red!!!

Let's go red!

Do not let up.  We will need every November point in February.

Veilleux is a freshman playing 25 minutes a night and looking extremely composed both defensively and offensively.

Sky is the limit there.

ugarte

It's really not easy to talk about Hiscock without it sounding like a terrible, juvenile joke. Impressed with his play though.

If he were an opponent he'd be a tasty target. Of course if Lynah is a quiet as people say it was last night, who knows.

Don't sell him short.  Most skill on the team.  He had an outlet pass from below the dot yesterday that he arched over a couple of defenders right to his target.  He's a must watch when he's on the ice for all of the little tricks up his sleeve

A natural-born scorer.

I just said that in another post.  I guess I better read all new posts before going back to an older one.  He's scoring goals in the toughest area of the ice.  We don't even really know what his shot looks like from outside because all his damage so far has been right around the net

Awesome position by position breakdown.  Getting excited for tonight.

Oh goodness, I agree, my post was unclear: to me he is looking like the MOST skilled. And out of a highly skilled bunch.

This is my motto these days.
How do you get Boy-Meat certified?
You must successfully:
   •   Pin a Yale player against the boards
   •   Maintain constant pressure until said player resembles a flat raclette cheese
   •   Skate away casually, as if you did nothing wrong
