Our broadcast is terrible. I have my tv volume maxed out and can barely hear the announcers

This is especially DANGEROUS if one is listening with earbuds.  If one cranks the volume up to hear the broadcast the commercials are so loud they can hurt you.

Why would I watch my TV with headphones? Minute the commercials and turn it down when it's over. Now I just have cc on

I watch and listen when sitting in Houston Field House in Troy.  The Ithaca game is always more compelling.

My god this is sad.  I promised fewer Mets crossovers but it's that level of sad.

It's not on the concrete
It's on a layer of ice with a thin layer over top
Each time the Zamboni cuts the ice it shaves some off

Casey mentioned he had recommendation to thin the ice compared to last year. I think it's too thin.

He mentioned the wet ice at the beginning of periods last year and something else that I can't recall.

Why would you thin the ice?  To make it harder / faster?

Because the ice was so thick that it was wet after resurfacing at the beginning of many periods last year.   The thicker it is the longer it takes to harden.

I think that's why it looks crappy too.  I think they went too far.
