Sophie Chumburidze '29 said the report felt dismissive of students' hard work and academic struggles.

"The whole entire day, I was crying," she said. "I skipped classes on Monday, and I was just sobbing in bed because I felt like I try so hard in my classes, and my grades aren't even the best."
--

The above sounded like something you'd read in one of those April Fools articles that start out somewhat plausible, but get more and more ridiculous as the article continues.

Poor Sophie.  2 months in and sooo stressed.  In my day at Cornell, when we were told "Look Left, Look Right, one of you three won't be at graduation, Sophie would have been the one.  Now, I am sure that with counselling and extra support, she will graduate on time with a lowly 3.6 GPA.  I think a similar result would also happen at Cornell now
Weird how almost everyone they interviewed was a '29.

That was one of the first things that caught my attention. I don't think  freshmen only two months into college are the best source of information on this topic

they are the ones who will feel the most robbed by the change and also the ones most likely to not realize they should not put their names in the newspaper.

that said, i really benefitted from going to a law school where there was a very weak curve as opposed to a college where the effort you put in paid off.

I'm very high on Harvard this year so should be a good game. Lot of returners and a great freshman class. Will make it all the more fun to beat them.

It is over at the Hong Kong near Harvard Square, easy walk as a group to the game. https://www.cornellclub.org/events/2025/11/bigred-hockey-pregame-ds-dgd-55w345-esned-gppss It's been a great event every year  ;D

Scorpion Bowls are mandatory.
I'd be pretty amazed if Scorpion Bowls survived the pandemic.

In light of today's news, I'm obviously still gonna root for us, but if we get blown out, I blame Cornell admin.

It's hard to admit that Harvard's taken the higher ground over Cornell, but I'm rooting for the Crimson in this arena.

Harvard has deeper pockets, but honestly... did you expect principle and bravery from our malignant peckerwoods? Cornell as an institution has been loathsome since an hour after ADW bit it.

Come the Revolution, the hockey team and the Arts & Arch, Ag, and A&S schools stay.  Everyone else goes under the blade in front of Goldwin Smith.

Per Eatery, be amazed.

I doubt they are as lethal as they once were, though.  That is the stiffest drink in a public place I have ever been borderline hospitalized for.

If it were possible to be homesick for Cambridge...

You really despise us engineers that much, Trotsky?
