WTF Is Going On?

It's nice that JosephHyday is spamming just one thread with many posts rather than a lot of threads with one post per thread.

There are a couple of months before the hockey year begins. Here is what I'd like to see on this forum before the start of the season. I believe these are reasonable asks.

1. Sign-ups open and operational. A forum needs new members to survive, and it's important to grow the community.
2. A way to weed out spammers. Two options: (i) a multi-step verification signup process; or (2) the ability for mods to ban spammers.
3. Periodic updates from the site owner and/or mods as to progress on the above.

#1 and #2, and therefore functionally #3, are currently only within the admin's purview. I assume you've said this to him as well as posting it.
