If you read the page about signing up for season ticket interest on the website it explicitly states that it's not for student tickets.

Right. That's interest. Not necessarily renewal. The email I got says renewal begins April 27 - so I'm asking if anyone's done it yet and how that process was. I'm pretty sure I need to wait until September, but I don't want to screw up, lol.

I know they had difficulty finding exactly where they needed to click on but found it after several attempts

You could also call/email the ticket office and clarify if you can still renew. Might even be able to do it over the phone.

Question if anyone knows - I am buying my season tix this week and am wondering - and it may be made clearer when I pick my seats - as you go across seats 1-25, does seat 1 in, say, section M start over by N or over by L and go the opposite direction? Hope that's clear.  Thanks in advance.

It's obviously not authoritative, but this company claims to have designed some Cornell ticket sales web site.  If you click on Lynah rink, you see a graphic of Section M with Seat 5 in Row 13 flagged in grey, next to seat 4 in orange already in cart.
