Age, let me know if you need any help. I get the feeling that you're technically inclined and I imagine that you're all set... But if not, I'm a software engineer and maybe I can lend a hand with the migration if you need it.

And I second/third/fourth the sentiments of appreciation for you maintaining the site; a donate button would be good.

Seems the moderators are manually deleting these posts but the issue persists. Maybe new members would be subject to some kind of approval process or be required to answer a couple of simple college hockey-related questions?

Moderators can delete posts, but only administrators (which may just be Age) can ban/block users.  I assume there are administrative solutions, but I don't know what they are or if Age has time to implement them.

Came here to say this. I've asked for the proper permissions to ban/block but otherwise I'm just deleting individual posts, and I haven't kept up with it very quickly because it's frustrating to have to keep doing it on the same posters again and again.

ETA: Ticket Exchange also used to be a moderated section back on the old forum; since the migration, it no longer is. There should be no spam in there at all, but right now it's no different than the other sections, and I'm not sure Age has the ability to make that change for only one section as opposed to the whole forum.

Ticket exchange gets one real post every three years. I'd delete it entirely tbh.

I assure you that's not the case. You may only think so because we delete posts as soon as the games to which they were relevant have passed.

Hey, technical question here.

The new software shows me that there are new posts on a topic.  But, unlike the old software, when I click on the link for the thread, it takes me to the start of the topic, rather than the location as to where the new post is at. I am logged in.  Is there something in the settings that would enable me to land directly at the new post?  I've looked in the settings, but can't seem to find it.  I have this problem both on my PC (Brave browser) and my Android phone (again, Brave browser). Any suggestions greatly appreciated.

Something really needs to be done about the spam.

Worth mentioning, though, that we do (however sporadically) delete the spam, while your complaints about it remain.

It seems to me that spam is addressed quite quickly.  I'm not logged in continuously, but based on the complaints I must miss a lot.  One thing that I haven't yet found on this new platform is a quick button for reporting spam.  Is there a way for users to flag junk with a single click?

I don't want a banhammer voting system, that is a Mod job and certain things (like abridgements of speech, and summary execution) are judicial, not legislative.

I want U2U customization so I can block... oh... I dunno... Whelan can be a pill...  ;)

I'm not blaming the moderators who are manually deleting the spam. The site needs to allow moderators to ban accounts or better yet require new accounts to pass some sort of test to ensure they are legitimate.

Thanks! Absurd as it is, I've been less active lately because this has been bugging me.
