The ride home today was honestly quite pleasant!

And LP is incredibly nice. Like, wow is it a nice town to spend a few days in. Plus the views are super pretty as well! (And I've heard that several 15-minute drives away there are other similarly beautiful small towns with charm as well.)

But I asked about others here taking issue with *the fans' response,* not with Tavares. For the record I agree with you. This is extremely normal sports fan behavior. My question is why others get so upset when I bring up rooting against Robertson and why that's any different from eg. an Islanders fan booing Tavares.

I don't see any advantage in carrying on that hatred. It just eats away at you. When it happens, let everyone know that you don't like it and then get on with the rest of your life. Carrying those feelings certainly doesn't do anyone any good, you included.

Oh for sure. But the way it goes is: the few kids in the row who *do* know start jeering him/telling their friends, and it gradually catches on and eventually the whole section is doing it. Same way Healey on Harvard was randomly getting jeered the entire series two weekends ago.

I have zero ill will towards Robertson and wish him the best.

If Michigan played at Lynah, I'd expect everyone to give him a ton of shit over leaving and I'd join in if I were there too, because what else are you going to do?

For me the 2003 FF no goal is the top calamity. No doubt in my mind we win that game if that goal was counted. Now, how we'd do against Minnesota in the final is a question, but I sure would've liked to take a shot.

The most upset I've been as a Cornell fan was the 2006 loss to Wisconsin, although that wasn't so much a travesty or miscarriage of justice as it was a heck of a game all around. That being said, did they really have to call matching minors for roughing that late?
