Hey, Dartmouth being good and not just scummy is good for the ECAC.
Not at the expense of Brown though.
Would you rather have two bad Ivy teams or just one? Brown is going nowhere fast...

Dartmouth would be a good team even without this transfer. Brown is currently a terrible team and getting even worse. The real problem with the ECAC isn't the teams at the top but rather that the worst teams are abysmal. And of course, from a selfish perspective, I'd rather the top of the league not get even better.

That's fair tbh... but outside of us and Q, and then Dartmouth (who historically have been brutal), who's even good in this league? Harvard is... okay. Princeton, I think you said their senior class is big and important so they'll likely trend downwards. Union is fine, Colgate is more scummy than good, Clarkson is annoying in that they have upset potential but aren't good. RPI isn't terribly good either. Yale, Brown, SLU are all putrid.

If it's only NY schools, there's not a lot of advantage to us.  The only schools are in Atlantic Hockey, which is a weak conference in terms of SOS, and our own conference, which does nothing in terms of out-of-conference record and precious little for SOS.

But it's more games in the NYC area which is good for alumni engagement (and of course donations)
A post on USCHO https://fanforum.uscho.com/threads/2026-27-schedules-thread.37285/post-2976645 stated that the participants are LIU, FSU, Army, and SLU. Last I heard, Ferris is not in NY. :)

Interesting choice for the odd man out.

Brendan Riley is the coach at LIU. His cousin Brett was the coach at LIU, and is now the coach at Ferris.
