Recruits 2026 and Beyond

Corey Pronman of The Athletic did a 7-round draft and "selected" 3 of our recruits: Charlie Puglisi to Nashville at pick 179, Cole Tuminaro to Detroit at 196, and Daniel Walters to San Jose at 201.

For anyone tracking their ages all three future stars will be under 20 when the puck drops next year.  Two are 18 with spring birthdays, the third is 19 born in the winter months.

I went through the most recent few pages of this thread, and I did not find a list of exactly whom Cornell expects to arrive in the fall. The various sites that have lists don't all agree. Is there a list, or even an educated guess?

The reason that I asked now is that RPI, which is notiously secretive (or too lazy), recently posted Instagrams of all 9 of the expected freshmen but then only added two of the four players expected from the portal. If the other two (both D) don't come, we are very shorthanded on defense, but I think someone just forgot.

Interesting note for the weirdos like me who like to know: Randle is going to the ILR school, Zadvernyuk to Arts and Sciences, everyone else to Johnson for business.

I can't believe I didn't know that Ryan Hughes' son was on the incoming roster. I saw Ryan score four goals in a 5-4 loss to BC at Lynah.

As a freshman in 1992, the first semester after he left, several Lynah vets told me how much they missed screaming "HUUUUUUUUUUUUGHES" when he got the puck at key moments.

Similarly, if you want your athletic kids to be popular with fans, name them something with an "oooo" sound: Lou, Mookie, Raoul, Boo-urns, etc

Pretty sure that Hughes played his senior year ('92-93), though he may have wished he hadn't. That was a rough time to be a fan and it can't have been easy to be on the ice, either.
