A number of Ivy League teams have ranked in the Division I-AA top 24.  For example, Harvard's 2004 10-0 undefeated team ranked at #13 in the final poll following postseason play.

Ivy's play less games.

They may come up with tiebreakers and also play a Championship game.

Would make sense if Ivies are looking starting a week earlier and adding a bye week given FCS playoff participation.

they are almost certainly not going to play a championship game. they are already adding to the season with the FCS tournament and there is no way of knowing in advance of the season if there is going to be a tie to break. i hope they choose H2H for a two-team tie instead of something like national polling.

Probably like lax and other sports before the ILT.

It's easy in a two way but can be harder with three at 5-2. I recall cornell lax winning the Ivy title but losing the ncaa bid coin flip in 2003.

Honestly, that would be cool, though.  And a way for the conference to get on TV and play all those ads we think are stirring and everyone else on Earth wants to Brian Thompson us.

It's an easy choice.

As it used to be when the Big10 went to the Rose Bowl, send the head-to-head winner. If there's a three- or more-way tie that doesn't resolve, send the team that's been on the clock the longest. In the early years, do it by last Ivy championship if that happens.

This year, I would have sent Columbia.

I thought longest drought was the first tibreaker for the Rose Bowl bid.

There were a few different versions, but head-to-head was definitely primary in the mid-2000s.

This could be a nice first step towards the Ivy  League relaxing a bit and getting rid of the silly rule causing the hockey team to start 3 weeks after all the other teams in the country.
