Hey all,

Took my son to his first game at Lynah last week against Duluth and he's hooked. Only "problem" is that they sell no merch at the rink, and we had to rush home. Do you guys know where I can buy a decent replica Cornell hockey jersey online?

Thanks all,
Mike Rizzo

A friend suggested that you try [https://www.cornellstore.com/style/Jerseys?page=1]

BlueSky

I'm also hearing about a new online store.

After shopping I found no uniforms!  My bad. Book store?

The replica jerseys aren't great unfortunately.

no need to be so harsh this looks pretty sharp for a youth jersey https://www.cornellstore.com/Hockey-Jersey-Youth-Red?location=&quantity=1&color=1&size=6

I must admit that looks MUCH better than the ones I see at games.  I hope they do an adult version.  (That didn't sound right.)

Related: When did New Balance get into making hockey jerseys? I can't tell much of a difference between the men's jersey this season and the previous version, but the women's jerseys appear to my eye to be a bit slimmer-fitting (maybe New Balance is making a women's cut hockey jersey?)

ETA: Looking at photos from last season and this season, maybe it's the shoulder pads that are slimmer. Perhaps they're using a version of the pads they were helping to test?

From time to time there will be jerseys auctioned off to support the team, or a local charity. Example: There was a Cornell Club/Philadelphia hockey night at the ballpark (to watch via satellite a Cornell hockey game elsewhere).  I was high bidder on a Cornell not replica jersey, $100. ($175 in current dollars.) Signed by the team. No help if you want one this weekend, but if you want one at some point, keep watching.

I bought a REAL Cornell hockey jersey at the annual used equipment sale held by the Athletics Department 5 or 6 years ago.  Here is the article from spring, 2022:

ITHACA, N.Y. -- After a COVID-19 hiatus, the annual Athletic Department Garage Sale will take place on Thursday and Friday, March 10-11 12 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. in the Grumman Squash Court Building across from Teagle Hall. The sale will include new and used athletic equipment and apparel from several varsity teams. The event is open to the public, and cash, check and credit cards are accepted - student-athletes can also have purchases charged to the bursar with your Cornell ID card.

It was also held March, 2023 but I couldn't find any details other than a calendar listing on Google.

I bought mine ~20 years ago for $100 from the equipment room at Teagle Hall but I've been told that they are more like $300 or $400 now.

They strip the names and numbers off which sucks.

Back then it was just names that came off. I chose #2 for Ratushny but you can tell from the size of the ghost of the old nameplate in the removed stitching that it had been Travis Bell's

Same. Bill Reynolds was the guy to see? There have been threads about it on here over the years.

Names and captaincy letters came off. Sometimes they took the ecac patch off too I think.

I have one I bought as a student and thankfully the number and ECAC patch are still on it. The jersey is quite durable, too. It still looks great after quite a number of hockey games
