I'm glad you began this thread, I had no idea this game had video coverage.  7 pm.

Wooo lets go red - time to kick off a great season

GO BIG RED

Trotsky

My utterly ignorant lineup guess: (no known injuries, illnesses, Pizza Huts, etc)

G: Shane (30 mins), Koeppel (30 mins)

D: Rego, Kempf, Suda, Stanley, Fegaras, Steele, Robertson

F: O'Leary, Seger, Penney, Mack, Psenicka, Donaldson, Bancroft, Wallace, DeSantis, Walsh, Catalano, Castagno

WHCderp isn't streaming its dull-witted treason, so we will need to wait for video to kick in.

Toronto Metropolitan University was formerly Ryerson University.  Cornell played exhibitions against Ryerson in the past.  3-0 Cornell early.

Gettin' chippy in the third. TMU scored to make it 6-1. TMU then took two separate cheap shots that they got penalized for and now Walsh is going off for boarding and they're checking to see if it's a major.

I was surprised not to see psenicka or Mosko today. Also, keopples new pads are criminal.

Psenicka must be banged up, because Grady said that if the counted, Psenicka likely would've played

Understandably, the Toronto Metropolitan goalie must have suffered PTSD after the first five minutes, but freshmen forwards Jake Kraft, Ryan Walsh and Jonathan Castagna all scored.

My quickie ignint thoughts:

Castagna looks *good*.  He scored on the first shot of the game 2 minutes in on a pure goal scorer's goal, snappy one timer which the goalie saw all the way but he just flat out beat him.

Kraft is fast and... crafty. He had 3 points and was a pest all night.  He's 5-8 on the roster and that is *very* generous. Maybe in skates.  He darts around and just pushes the puck past his cover, dekes, and picks up on the other side.

Wallace was under the opponents' skin all night.  There was a point when 4 Metro players were all pummeling him.  He must have a winning personality.

O'Leary was everywhere, all at once. He still has speed and skill but he sure seems stronger.

All the freshmen seemed to be already gelling well with the upperclassmen.  They looked like they are already to play.  We had 14 F / 8 D so 22 skaters, but 9 of them were freshmen including 3 of our 4 centers (Castagna, Walsh, Devlin, along with Seger).

Nobody looked out of place.  There was so much skill and speed Donaldson and Bancroft all but disappeared.

I think our regular pairings will be: Suda - Stanley, Kempf - Fegaras, Rego - Robertson. Not sure about lines because Psenicka is banged up but will be back for UMD.

Bad opponent, so, who knows?, but so far so good.

The next game will be interesting the under 18 team beat up on BU pretty good.

But then BU also lost to UNH 6-4 the night before

Then they got beat by Dart 7-2 last night.
