Quote from: jtwcornell91Well, crap.  Go Gophers!

I liked what I saw out of the Goophs.

Michigan was not impressive. They were bound to run into a team that could play defense at some point. Honestly, I think they were the weakest of the four.

Michigan was definitely not impressive in the semi, and the goalie Portillo was a liability. Quinnipiac is finally showing their potential, but I think Minnesota has just too many ways they can score, and they don't need to rely on scoring first.

The start of the 3rd in the M-Q game might be the fastest paced hockey I've ever seen.

We were watching it from behind Q's net.  It will be nice to watch the video on a big screen.

I was watching it on a big screen 4K and it was magnificent.  The only thing I'd compare it to was the way the Soviets used to play, except it was both teams.  Blistering speed on O and D, crisp passing, insane pace, no mistakes.  Wonderful to watch.  Had I a strong rooting interest I'd have probably had an aneurism.

Jesus fuck, Barry.
As his announcer/color commentator seniority advances, some of Melrose's  insights of the play just ended – "that Fantilli is capable of making the big plays" ... (after he's scored on by Q)" "Portillo is big like Perets, but on the key plays he's not always in position" ... sound like a guy in a sports bar noting the obvious. The difference between Melrose and the sports bar dude is one has more of a flair for fashion.

What is a "big screen" these days? I've got a 65-inch plasma (last year of production at Panasonic, best TV ever circa 2015) and I'm starting to think 85 inches means big. Costco has some at the $2,000 level. LG just announced a 100-inch OLED G3, G3 clarifying that it's Gulfstream-level pricing, around $25,000.

For the guillotine set.

I clicked "stash for later," like when the revolution comes.

Which one? I've always felt bad for Barry.  He either has a blind tailor or he buys his coats off the rack.  Perhaps he still shops in Glens Falls.

(How well did his jacket fit this year?)

That's what it said in the yearbook, Jim.

ESPN2 apparently the homer network for Minny tonight.

Trotsky

2-1, Gophers after 2.

Minny looked like they might run away with it early in the second but since then Q has gotten back in the game.  They definitely have a shot.
