Denver also has had the injury bug lately. Top scorer Massimo Rizzo and high-end defenseman Sean Behrens both returned for the NCHC semis against Colorado College after missing some time. Goalie Magnus Chrona missed four games as well, returned against CC, then came out with 10 minutes remaining in the game, seemingly reinjuring himself, though that was denied by coach David Carle.

Obviously anything can happen in a hockey game, but I'm happy we didn't get Michigan. Colgate got Michigan, and with Michigan's elite offensive talent I just have a feeling that game is going to end up something like 5-1 UMich. Denver should at least be a lower scoring affair, though looking at their roster and season stats they too are completely loaded. With respect to Denver dealing with injuries, only goalie Chrona appears to be potentially hurt at the present moment; the others played Saturday night. Meanwhile, seems we have a number of our own players who are banged up or straight up unable to play (DeSantis, Mack, Donaldson?). Maybe some will be ready to go by Thursday. It's too bad we couldn't hang on to a three-seed as the two-seeds look far more beatable. Oh well, can't really complain.

Well, I think Q is the weakest #1, but we can't play them. I think we have decent odds against WMU or a banged up BU.

Cornell's game is on ESPNews...I thought I got that channel but alas no.

I didn't watch the first game either but 5-1 is an impressive score.  Still, I've wanted another shot at BU since the game against them earlier this year.  Denver looks extremely good, too...if Cornell somehow wins both games I think it'll be the most impressive two game stretch of Cornell hockey I will have ever seen...er...watched the highlights of.

Gotta admit, it looks pretty sweet on a large 4k TV.  It's been a long trip since listening to a broadcast over a phone line hooked into a PBX.
